So at the example at 25:00 lets say we went long at 33600. And we have a trailing stop. The trailing stop is of course 5% below the original position so this is the stop which does not move. Then WHEN the price reaches 36000 then the trailing stop activates so in this case would be 5% below 36000. And this time the stop only moves up everytime the position goes up in value. Am I getting it?

So keeping extra collateral means you can keep the order open longer and ride the ups and downs? The order closes out because you run out of collateral, right? So using less of your money per trade and keeping more collateral out allow those orders to stay open for a longer period of time, assuming there isn't a more dramatic price movement, you could ride the ups and downs for a longer period of time. Yeah?

The position will stay open until you run out of equity to cover the loss, if that dries up the order closes.
