Good morning! The turtle was comfortable with Zander, that why he came out of his shell. He was a box turtle. But wow he was beautiful. Had a turtle for 8 years now. And every time my daughter goes by him or picks him up he comes out of his shell. By the way the vet told us that, not blowing smoke…. Glad to see all 7+ of you are ok , just collateral damage. Bobby if you made a covered patio in the back over the cement slab. you could keep water from getting into Bailey’s room. Or not. I’ve seen people use French drains to divert water to a different area. Isn’t there another hurricane behind Milton? Fun never ends. Glad y’all are ok and didn’t get too much damage. Which is worse. The preparation or the cleanup? They both suck.

I hope your pool cage doesn’t cost too much to repair/replace. I saw someone on Twitter saying his neighbours that evacuated asked him to slash their pool screens to let the wind go through rather than lifting it so it wouldn't break- but other people saying doing that affects insurance. It seems like a minefield... I'm amazed how quickly you did the other minor temp repairs though. I hope the rest of your community fared as well.

So glad you and your family are safe. I live in Volusia county and I only lost some tree limbs and electricity for less than 24 hours. Still lots of local flooding and washed out roads and lots of power loss. So be careful out there as you make your repairs. So happy for your family and animals.

Hi Cambria and Bobby. Wow, you guys really got hit!! My Son lives on the Gulf side 67 miles from Milton’s land fall. He lost one tree around his pool. Seems like from Kim to the East Coast got the brunt. Not to mention 100’s of tornadoes! ❤

I hope you know that turtles and I believe tortoises can carry salmonella and it is highly recommended that you wash your hands and change your clothes after handling them. I know this was filmed days ago, but FYI. Sorry for all the damage, everything is so expensive to repair, and I'm guessing prices will go up again because of the demand.
