She demonstrated she knew exactly what had happened. If Mogg believes for one minute the 'Conservative' vote is homogeneous he's stupid. People who voted Tory in the South East detest Reform more than Labour and vice versa. The Johnson government tried to glue together two completely disparate groups of voters together which would never agree with each other. Reactionary un-educated poor voters in the North East do not sit well with middle class professionals / retirees. If the Tory party were to be completely absorbed into Reform most Middle Class Tories would simply move to the Lib Dems. If Reform folds which it probably will in the next few years as they become increasingly irrelevant their voters will either switch back to Labour or go further to the right with BNP EDL, or whatever Farage creates next. Hardly any seats in the home counties that went to the LibDems had Reform in 2nd place, including Rees-Moggs own seat. It was Labour, then Tory, then Reform. The only place Reform did well is in deprived coastal towns and the deprived North East. It is not an aspirational party, it's for the dispossessed.
