Hi Everyone! Has your game improved or gotten worse this year? Whats been a strength and weakness in your game?

Release for me is the most difficult to perform.

Improved. Thanks for your videos. EDIT - Ok, replied too early. You identified my problem at 33:48. Getting a routine. I get hung up mentally; maybe worrying too much about developing bad habits so early?

Improved, started practicing every week for the first time in life, triggered by getting fitted last year July (which opened my eyes to the concept of compression which I had not heard of).. Got myself a shot scope watch. Found out that my above average short game and lag putting obscured the fact that I lost 4+ strokes compared to the 15 hcp bracket I felt I could manage. Turns out I was very bad at putts between 3-6 feet. Brought it back to -1.95 after a putting clinic. Driving is stable, and on par. Learned to hit up a little better, but struggle a little with opening the face to path doing so. Oh, and it makes me more vulnerable for slow recentering (turning the pivot into a bit of a sway), so love this video.

63 yes old! I'm shooting 81 one day and 95 on another. My swing feels completely alien to me on occasions.

Amazing!!! I have trawled the internet trying to find the answer to my release confusion. As 99% of golfers club face control and release of driver is the hardest thing to master, most of us leaving the face open relative to target let alone path!! I have always been confused as to do I release the club (and close the face) using trail wrist flexion as a feel or pronation as a feel (tennis racket forehand), so many coaches have a preference or refer to tour pro's as an example. This is the first place that has answered that question based on the individual and makes me feel better about the the underhand release that feels better for me and yields better results. I was worried that not many coaches seem to advocate for it and have tried to force my roll release but tend to hit low hooks. Obvious to me now that I probably deliver a more closed face at p6 and then I'm over closing with a roll release!! Again, gold dust.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video! In my opinion, the release is determined by the club face. So your sensation has to match what your face does

Great video, your last video helped me alot, i was hitting them straighter and longer than ever. Twards the end of my drive session i started getting that big slice back but i think i started getting in front of it as i started getting tired. Going back today and going to get a smaller bucket and practice some more focusing on my one swing thought.
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
If you slicing it, it means your club face is open to the path so you’ve got to figure out why that is

Great video. I just picked up golf after playing baseball through college. I can’t hit a straight drive on the course. I have been looking for the simple video that breaks everything down. My grip was my issue. I was holding it too deep like a baseball bat. Thanks for the help!
