I want to correct one thing, as you say ta add all files in staging area use 'git add .' command but it's work only if you are in root folder of gir repo, if you were in subfolder the it add all files of that sub folder in staging area not files that are out side of subfolder, to add all files in staging area use 'git add -A' command
