The tip about how his shockwave works really made this fight easier! Basically always making sure his shockwave is a square before he shouts allows me to be two squares away after his shockwave lands. I then swap weapons so I don't drop both weapons and then swap back after the roar. You can get baited by heal/roar both being off cooldown at the same time but it's manageable :)

@TacMagical exactly! Yeah, when he does things out of order, like a yell into a heal, annoying. Otherwise, that is a minor setback vs. losing both weapons

Of note, Geomancers don't need Smoke Bombs. Place a rock a couple spaces between you and it breaks LoS, letting you close the distance safely. Does not stop him from throwing the rock if he's already picked it up.

Unless I'm mistaken, if your inventory is open and it is full, the item will be put in your "hand" (cursor) so that you can equip it without putting it in your inventory. Tell me if I'm wrong, I haven't tried this with equipment, only items in the normal inventory storage.

@SIZModig you can't. It takes 2 turns to perform that action. Test it out by filling you inventory and the drop your weapon. You will spend 2 turns picking it up and equipping it.

@justinkyletan81 meh not really as good as you would think lol. Plus it's hard to have a lot of deaths stringer jars at one time since they spoil

Killed him once, but decided to load the save just so I can practice this fight. I swear it's so much harder if you are dual wielding. Constantly having to plan when to swap weps to not drop main one is rough.

@TacMagical yup exactly. And fortitude isn't as easy to stack anymore until later game. So that really stinks.

@TouxhME take your time. I would apply impulse early and only use jolt to keep impulse stacks. The bursts of damage over time will slowly damage his body. If you aren't fully invested into magic, grabbing the step aside skill will allow you to interrupt the troll. Keep an eye on your backfire damage, too. We don't want to hurt ourselves in the process. You can mix in our big hitting spells too. Just again keep an eye on backfire.

so how do you out damage his regen 2x or 3x per reset if you aren't running a glass cannon build?

Just keep hitting it. Once armors down it will start to build injuries which lower healing. Pain as well. But i forget if the troll suffers from pain.

@rotm4447 so he won't regen hp in battle. His troll regen skill heals for 88 per tic if he is not injured. He won't passive heal in combat either. Only time i saw him passive heal was when he becomes unaware and is walking back to the center.

@rotm4447 but rule of thumb is don't let him heal with troll regen more than once. Always stay within 2 tiles of him so you can avoid the rock toss and interrupt his regen skill

@@okmallgaming Right he gets one tick but he does it once, sometimes twice while you kite him to the entrance, he often randomly stops and doesn't chase you wasting time for the skill to cooldown, disarms mean you lose an attack round as well, when he runs back to the top he heals again while out of combat, when he gets to the tower his regen is back up again. Its very difficult to out damage without something like flurry.

@rotm4447 yeah if you only focus on the simple method of going straight down and back up it can make the fight drag on. Try going to the left and right as well. Dual wielding in this fight can be rough since you have to monitor when he yells so you don't drop your weapons.

How Do you inspect enemies without rmt and open the menu? I can See an eye Icon when you höher enemies. Great Video. Having trouble to Deal dmg to him so not able to best him here with my 2H sword.

@Sweg177 do you have the charge skills unlocked? If not, you can still eventually do enough damage to cause his body to get injured. If you play it right and don't take many hits other than the scream, you can take him down overtime. It won't be quick mind you

I managed to kill the Troll with my ranged character in the previous patch, only had the first set of 2H axe skills with Tier 2 axe. I maybe had 5-10 control resist. It doesn't seem to have changed, did it ? It took me several hours (+-9) to get the dance down, but I didn't pay attention and forgot to heal the psionic damage on my head. Next dance I won easy, took forever lol I got monkeywrenched several times when he did the roar before the regen and then was in a bad shockwave, long live Dash if I don't get dazed :p Damn missclicks ! With all these changes, I am going to restart my Bow build.

@BartOppeel he is mostly the same. His pathing has changed a bit and it's more annoying in my opinion. The previous method I could easily dance to the left and right with no issue what so ever. Now he doesn't follow you in the same way as before. Other than that, they added Indomitable and we no longer heal over time while in combat.

Just killed him. Tbh i was way overleveled (16 2HAxe Jorgim) and after using the tactic and not just blindly rushing him he died pretty quickly. Didnt even had use for the unique helmet in the tower anymore. Thanks anyway

Love your vids, but may I suggest disabling in game music when you're recording tutorials like this in the future? It's somewhat distracting and intrusive when you're trying to pay attention to what you're saying and what's happening on screen. Cheers.
