Hi Jia, the madeleine shade is perfect for you, you're right it's a tad lighter than custard but i think custard has a peachy undertone which cancels the blue (for dark under eye area).Madeleine shade gives you coverage and and a brightening effect too. I love love nars concealer, i use ginger and custard shades. I use ginger when my under eye needs all the coverage haha and custard when i get enough sleep and eye bags are at bay.

I have the custard shade but find it too similar to my foundation shade. I decided to look up videos of swatches to find a lighter alternative, i watched about 5 videos before this that just left me more confused than I was before, and I am SO glad that I clicked on yours!! Neutral shades make my skin look pale and grey. I prefer yellowish concealer. I was thinking about Custard but this video has made me change my mind, as I also thought it is yellow. I'll try to find light medium yellow options. Best video on Nars I've seen, thanks so much!

Thank you v much for the in-depth analysis. I went in-store to swatch & got the Madeleine, too - and that’s my name :) It disappeared into my skin whereas the Custard and Cafe au lait were more yellow or peachy. I’m east European, slightly olive and mostly neutral. NC25 in MAC

NARS is my favorite! Nars has kits you can buy that are at a discounted price on their website. They have a foundation and concealer kits and their new under eye corrector with a concealer kit.

I ended up buying Punjab :) and even though I am a neutral olive, it works much better than other foundations with yellower tones (like estee lauder 2w1.5)

Unfortunately I don't really know about other products from NARS. First try to find a shade which woulf fit to your skin, then see if it goes well with your foundation.

If your foundation is w yellow undertones you shoul look for W or yellow undertones bcs Madeleine and custard are neutral not w

Yes, they have neutral undertone, but they work quite well on my skin. Maybe my skin is between yellow and neutral undertones.
