You are an incredible teacher! I've watched a ton of "supposed" instructional videos and your thorough and analytical approach is truly impressive. Know you are going for your Masters in Business Administration. Hope you use it to make a ton of money teaching us novice fisherman!

Thanks that helps out a lot, off shore is really my week spot while fishing tournaments and I’m doing everything I can think of to get better. Learning everything I can from you and going out to practice it. Hopefully I’ll get it figured out. Lol

I commend you for willingness to get this strategic and have such a thorough plan of attack in your fishing. Personally, this is way more work than I would ever want to do when I'm on a lake. I like simplicity in my fishing and here's one way in which I do that. I look for lakes I can fish at night- usually shallow nightmare boat/ski traffic lakes where the fish just won't feed during the day. I just found a new one a few nights ago and caught 19 keeper Bass the first night I fished it. Granted, the lakes you fish down south are way different than the small lakes I'm talking about where I can use my kayak. Those lakes down south have much bigger Bass due to the overall warmer temperatures and usually necessitate a bigger boat. I'm not knocking your strategy, I would just go about it differently. For example, I understand why professionals want to mark as many locations and then go back and fish them later. I don't do that ever- if I mark fish I'm fishing them immediately because that might be the window when their biting. Granted, your primarily interested in Bass, I like catching whatever I happen to find under my boat whether that is a crappie or a 30lb King Salmon in Lake Michigan. When your max speed is 4.5 mph, you got to get em when you find em.

My brain is hurting from all the information, this was the most informative fishing video I have ever seen. I just bought a Lowrance hook 2-9 triple shot. Fishing on the lower cape fear river in North Carolina. Wil let you know if I catch bass or crappie. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial.

Solid info. You have provided us with such comprehensive tutorials there is no reason not to fill the boat. I will combine a brush pile run with off shore rock piles and should have a very efficient milk run. Thanks again. You are the man!!

Just happened on to your channel while searching for info on side and down imaging. Pretty darn good info. Ive learned quite a bit. This one regarding brush piles was pretty informative as well though typically up here in Maine we dont see that many brush piles unless they’re naturally occurring.

You mentioned weather, current, and wind as activating feeding windows. Do you ever look at solunar tables and take that info into consideration? Just curious as to your thoughts on the moon phases. Great videos! Keep them coming
@donhershfeld99304 жыл бұрын
Always enjoy your approach. But on this question (of when fish might become active on any particular brushpile), unless the piles themselves are quite differently arranged, or they are located in radically different portions (or perhaps depth strata) of the reservoir, why would one think that the activity windows on one, would not more or less correspond with the activity windows on any/all? This question might not change the practical strategy for covering multiple spots, but still seems worth bringing up.

Hello from Australia I love watching your videos about this sort of stuff but at the moment I have got bad heath problems with my back! And I have to sell my boat till then while I wait till it's sells to I can get a kayak. So I'm stuck to fish on the banks witch I'm ok with what I'm trying get at! Is I have a deeper so I can see if they is any fish around and I was wondering have you made a video about how to use one properly? Or you have not made one yet? I mean I know how to use it! But is there anyway you might know some tricks to fine tune it so you can make it easier by any chance? If so can you please let me know or let me know you have made a video that will help me in a way. Where it applied to what I'm trying to do with what I'm saying about the deeper pro? Or can you make a video about land fish finders that would be sweet FTM THANKS YOU IF YOU SEE THIS.

@kedman12174 жыл бұрын
Great videos. Question. Based on water clarity (muddy, stain and clear) and time of year, how do you determine where someone would place a brush pile? Are brush piles more effective on tops of humps, sides of humps, main-lakes points, secondary points, ledges, saddles, middle of coves, etc. Just wanted some coaching where to spend my time graphing. I assume someone placing a brush pile is dropping it in a high percentage area to attract bait fish and bass. Thinking structure determines best location to place a brush pile but would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

When you hit a brush pile at the bite window and start catching them do you still just stay 10 mins or stay and keeping catching them until the bite turns off

Is it common for a man made lake or reservoir to not have very many brush piles? Sure there are a few christmas tree piles here and there that crappie guys have put out but it seems like they stripped the bottom of the lakes around me clean before they filled them up!
@samgaither7934 жыл бұрын
There should still be stumps, logs, fallen trees, road beds, house foundations, ect that fish will be around.
@poststalone14964 жыл бұрын
Yeah you just described my home lakes. Most of the trees were removed prior to the creation of the lakes. There’s no grass either. Makes it pretty easy to locate the fish since they literally only have rock piles to congregate on.

most fishing shows and videos show people catching fish but are very much lacking key information like local weather, water conditions, cover, and especially DEPTH. If I can only have one piece of information on a fishing report, I want to know what depth the fish are at....if they are 8-12 ft...you just eliminate about 95% of unproductive water...your videos are very informative which is largely lacking in the majority of shows imo...I will definitely pass it on to any I know!
