This was the best video on monetization of mtg that I've seen. It was very concise and informative. Thanks for your hard work. I've got a collection. Of 100,000 cards from 4horse to present and I'm looking into selling them and this is the best video I've found on the net.

I have a distinct recollection of seeing my uncle play a fantasy card game in the 90s that I am almost certain was MTG. I asked him a few years ago, but he told me that he can't remember, and that he threw out a whole load of comics and toys that he's collected after he got married. It makes you wonder just what treasure people have just dumped. I also wish that when next someone is offloading "rubbish", I'm on hand to take it off them!

Damn this video was good bro. So much information packed in here, and a lot of jewels were dropped. I took notes and have like 10 pages full. It's crazy that we get this kind of content for free. This is years worth of knowledge in an hour long video.

@@MTGDeckmasters yeah we can tell this is the result of hard work. I think unfortunately lots of people go first to flashy shallow videos but in the long run, videos like this build credibility and people will take notice. So thanks so much again and keep up the hard work, recognition will come to those who work hard 🙌🏼

What a video! What’s a highest monthly income you think can realistically be attained if someone, for MTG and maybe Pokémon cards, applies all 5 methods to make money? Assume they work 40-60 hours a week and have a good mind for business. Also what do you think the timeline of earnings would look like (as general or specific as you want)?

Thanks for the comment! There is no ceiling honestly. Just look at Daniel Chang (Vintage MTG). This guy makes millions off old Magic cards

@@MTGDeckmasters appreciate you getting back to me and I have a follow-up question: I see some comments saying his and others’ high financial success was due to WoTC business practices that are no longer in play and so he was “lucky.” To confirm, you feel someone could have similar success even in todays economy of tcg’s (which I do not know much about tbh)?
@MTGDeckmasters
@MTGDeckmasters Жыл бұрын
@@submittogodalone8449 There is little luck involved. People say he was lucky because the cards he specializes in went up a lot in price. He is not an investor, he resells/flips cards so the market does not determine his success. You just have to be consistent and accept that sometimes you will buy cards that will lose value.

how much does condition matter for non foils?
@MTGDeckmasters
@MTGDeckmasters 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the card. The more the card is used for collecting only and the more expensive it is, the more condition matters

I want to say I appreciate the videos and also I have questions. If you have time to answer them, thank you in advance. 1. What payment app do you prefer? Is there an app that makes transactions and transfer to your account easier. 2. When buying out old collections, do you price every card and then offer a set percentage? Or is it just the big hitters that are figured? 3. Suppose I have lots of storage for long term and a healthy patience. What would be the best option to keep sealed? Draft, booster or collector. Thank you again. And best of luck continuing to grow.
@MTGDeckmasters

Thank you for the kind words. 1. Cash or Bank transfers are always best to avoid fees and other risk. Otherwise, Paypal is fine. 2. I normally look at buylist prices then offer a bonus on top of that (normally around 10%) depending on the card. 3. Most sealed products are good long term holds but I personally prefer draft booster boxes as they have proven themselves over time. We don't have much data on Collector boxes so I'm less confident. More risk=more reward.
