Just wanted to point out that 1hour 20 minutes is not the same as 120 minutes, 120 minutes=2 hours. But thank you for the video, I loved it!!

New Mottivator here, I've always enjoyed your videos, but joining Mottiv is taking my training to the next level - and I've only just started with it. Excellent video on running - kudos!

Hi Taren! I’ve been watching many of your videos for a while but this One is one of the best videos I’ve seen about running. Amazing! And then app and the calculators. Great job.

I noticed that the jumping up and down is done with Hokas. Maybe not the most consistent message. (I have everything from Xero minimal shoes to Hoka, with a stop at Altra.)

@@irinixrisanthou170, I've had a couple pairs. I am comfortable in zero-drop shoes, so that may be an issue for you. That's the biggest difference I know between the two brands. Hokas are great if you like squishy, which I do for really long runs (I'm 70 years old and weigh 270#, so I feel the pounding if I go over 10 miles). Basically, I can go up to a 5K in the Xeros (and some other brands I've had). I can't wear the ones with toes because my foot shape just doesn't work (too many years in cowboy boots as a youngster). I have Xeros and Altras in trail shoes, but it depends on the traction versus the terrain. I started logging a lot of miles 11 years ago, starting by walking in minimals and building distance and speed. I've also done a lot of work stretching and manipulating my feet and tendons.

@@irinixrisanthou170, I tried a pair of the Saucony a few years back, but the drop was just too much for my feet. I have trail shoes and sandals and road shoes from Xero (they're based out of Utah, I believe), so I guess I'm committed to them. I like the Colorado sandals because they're mostly enclosed (less sand getting stuck and less kicking things with an exposed toe), the Aqua X Sport, and the Mesa. All of them are easy on your foot and last a long time. They really are minimal, with only a few centimeters of sole and a little bit of tread. I usually wear them with socks for just a bit more cushioning, but they're wearable without, too. The soles have a 5,000-mile guarantee. I am wearing a pair right now. Good luck in finding your best shoe! Oh, and REI has some models available if you have one of those near you.

Should one go for this plan even though he can’t sleep 7-8 hours every night?
@Dwarfboy666

YES - I did 😑 You really have to "force" yourself to find the time to sleep. I found that setting an alarm on my phone for BEDtime really helped to remind me. ..otherwise I was spending far too much time watching KZbin videos like this 😂
