Wow... I already speak Arabic, french and English, and now I'm learning Spanish for fun and travel, my dad told me if I learn Chinese aswell then I could basically communicate with almost everyone around the world, I've also started to pick up interest in Portuguese and Esperanto, Brazilian Portuguese sounds so cool and its similar to spanish so thats why I like it, I like esperanto because it's so easy to learn and I love the esperanto community

@@Adnamie I already made it clear before, the original comment is frikin stupid. No source is given. How do you actually believe 95% of the population speaks only 4 languages? AND nobody asked you about what languages you know OR are currently learning OR what you are interested in. This is why I hate the internet...
@Adnamie

@@user-hx7ve6th4f buddy, it's common knowledge that English, French, Spanish and Chinese are some of the most spoken languages in the world (number of native and non-native speakers combined) according to Ethnologe and many other sources. English is obviously 1st, Chinese is in second place, Spanish is in 4th place, and French is right below it at 5th place. Yes it is true that Kwasi here didnt mention a source, and I also doubt that speaking ONLY those 4 languages will allow to communicate with 95% of the world

Thank your for your good efforts to make this introduction video. It’s very easy to understand. But I have to point out that, 1. Usually ‘time’ is put behind the ‘subject’ , it’s also okay if you put ‘time’ ahead of the ‘subject’. For example 我明天去学校。 明天我去学校。 2. I hope the the pronunciation of the Chinese host can be better, since I heard some obvious pronunciation mistakes when she speaks the compound final.

10:54 The 4th tone falls down from the upper line. It is the highest tone. Found out after months, because this video shows different. Than I could distinguish the tones. Example: 1 ta 4 shi (he/she is). Shi starts much higher than ta.

This seems like good info, but it's way too fast to really learn from as a beginner (maybe the slower courses are at the site?). I find myself pausing and rewinding way too much. This seems like it would be great for a speedy review to stay fresh after you've learned from another course. Unfortunately, just about all the Chinese videos I've seen so far from the various channels seem to be the same, for the most part. They move too fast, although some go way too deep for a beginner. This is a surprise to me when comparing to other languages that take a slower approach with more repetitive practice. (FTR, I have learned spanish & french in the past so I'm accustomed to the more common learning methods) These are some ways to make language vids more friendly for a beginner: * Longer pauses between instructional sentences. Students need time to analyse what is on the screen based on what was just explained. * Longer pauses between sections. This allows for more digestion time with the visual info on the screen. The brain needs time for it to "sink in". When it is forced to move on to fast, it does not stick nearly as well. * Repeat each spoken example at least 3 times. This is kind of a standard. 3 times is widely known to boost retention plus the student is able to improve their pronunciation and accent after 3 tries. Also, the teacher can use slow pronunciation with the first and normal speed with the last which also helps. * Ideally, have two sets of videos, one for travel/tourist part time speaker, and one for more serious learning. The tourist version would skip some technical things that they really don't need and that wouldn't cause issues for just basic communication.

Quando a esmola é demais o cego desconfia, reza sábio ditado. Esse é um comercial que visa aumentar seu faturamento apresentando argumentos que absolutamente não tem nenhum valor para o aprendizado do Hanyu. Como "chines nato" e poliglota fluente de todas as línguas orientais, afirmo: É impossível aprender o Zhong Wen (Lingua Chinesa) como anunciam! Como principio básico é sofrível. Sem o acompanhamento de um professor NATIVO ninguém aprenderá a se comunicar fluentemente nesta "dificílima, porém sábia língua" de mais de 3000 anos de cultura... Acredite quem quiser;
