Financial docs are generally not asked. Just keep the docs handy that you submitted for your visa application

Hi Ritwik, thank you for the elaborate information, really helpful! I wanted to know something about the passport submission: 1) Did you have to submit the original passport during your appointment or do they ask for the same once a decision on your application has been made? I am asking because I am planning to travel to another country once I am done with my visa appointment and therefore would require my passport for the same. 2) If the passport has to be provided after the decision has been made, what is the longest duration between receiving the visa decision and submitting the passport to VFS?

You can submit your documents online. But if you choose to submit a documents at the visa centre then you will be required to carry original documents to the visa centre and get it scan and there only. If any of your documents are bigger than A4 size then you will need to take photo copies of those documents so that visa centre staff can scan those documents

As far as I'm aware, they are required. But university will let you know if it will need any document. If you submit those documents to the university, then it will be required for the visa process as well

When should we actually get our bank statements, bank letters etc. from bank - after paying visa fees or before? Because there is a rule that these should not be older than 31 days from the day you paid your visa fees. Can you please tell what should be the sequence of events - a) submit visa application + pay fees b) book appointment on vfs c) get bank documents etc. Also if we are getting these after- what should be the start and end dates for the statements in reference to the date of paying visa fees?

I'll explain the sequence below: - Get financial documents showing more than 28 days old funds. - Apply for visa as soon as you get financial documents and other required documents (within 2-3 days of getting bank statements and letter). - Book visa appointment within 7-10 days of getting documents

28 days line is important. Get a new letter if possible. Otherwise share some proof to show the FD is older than 28 days

You can do anything. My friends who submitted docs online received visa without any issues. Although I would advise that you get your document scanned from some cyber cafe because if you scan the documents using your phone, chances are higher that the quality of those documents is not going to be that good!

Hi, you can send an email to the immigration team of universities. Email address of the immigration team is available on university website. Also you have to visit VFS Global or use an online portal to submit documents at VFS Global

1.Any deposit paid to the University for CAS letter purpose has nothing to do with 28 days conditions. In fact the deposit you pay is mentioned in your CAS letter and then subtracted from the total requirement of funds(living cost+fees) you have to show in bank account. 2. CAS letter will especially mention about english assessment. If the University is Higher Education provider with track record of compliance then it will mention on CAS that UKVI doesn’t need to assess your English of it has already done so. In that Case if your Uni falls in that criteria of HIE with Track record of compliance and it has assessed your english then you don’t need IELTS.

Hi Ruchika, for September intake, you can start the process as soon as you can. Many students have already started their Visa process. The sooner you get your Visa, it would be easier to buy cheaper tickets and plan other things. With regards to deposit, you'll need to pay it while accepting offer (although some courses don't require deposit payment for unconditional offer). After that university will inform you when you need to pay the rest of your fee.

Hello! Can a 10th/12th class certificate work in the name of birth certificate? If not, and the birth certificate doesn't have my name on it, just the parents name would that suffice also do I have to get it translated? If so, please guide regarding this.

I am going for PhD in UEA. For visa application do I need to submit my degree certificates as I don't have them....but I have my transcripts????

My brother have various names in his docs such as , 1) Hiteshbhai Patel in 10th &12th marksheet 2) Hiteshkumar Patel in birth certi 3) Hitesh Patel in degree So, In This case he need to make an Affidavit of Dual name ?

Bhai my account is a joint account with my father with my name in first. Now my living expense's money is in that account and I am taking a student loan. So in this case, do i need to provide birth certificate and a letter from my father stating that I can use the money in that account?

Hello, congrats on getting scholarship! Does your scholarship cover living expenses, if not, then you'll need to show your own funds for living expenses. You should add scholarship proof in your Visa application. Also, do get in touch with the immigration team of your university to discuss how you should fill finance details in your visa application for better clarity.

Ok does that sum of maintenance is equal or more than what visa office requires as living expenses? That is 9207 pounds per year for outside London? If yes, you shouldn't need to show any other funds.

Awesome! Then I think you shouldn't be required to show your own funds. But just cross verify it once with the immigration team of your university - just to be 100% sure
