Beautifully shot, skillfully edited, great storyline, empathetic characters, GREAT vehicle, tastefully modified, real world challenges and surmounting obstacles (literally!). What a great series. Thoroughly enjoyed it lads! I don't know why... But the Liqui Moly coozies made me smile. They should make those look like an actual product, and label it "Social Lubricant" and make up some funny blurb to print on it... ;-) Lost opportunity there... I think you showcased the Thule, Berg, and especially the EuroWise products, those vendors should be very happy with you. Not to mention demonstrating the depth of FCP's product offering... A cap for a windshield washer tank!!! Really??? In stock!!! There is a reason why FCP is my go to source for parts for my Porsches and Mercedes. Another thing your series did was to humanize the company. Because as you know, dealing with a company online is not a personal thing. But "meeting" you guys, and all the others from FCP really brought home the fact that you are all enthusiasts! That you love what you do, and it's a passion. I've been following Gareth, Nathan, Mike, and especially Kyle of late (By necessity! But also by choice :-) as he is excellent) for the excellent tech videos, but seeing you guys outside the repair bay has been even better. Knowing that you guys too are fallible, just makes me feel even closer to you as real people, and by dint, the company. Kudos to FCP for allowing you guys the freedom, time and resources to make such entertaining and elucidating content. Please keep it up. Maybe a series of builds... Porsche track day build for someone who's never been to the track... And the same for a BMW... A rally build for an Audi... A drift build? There are many possibilities, and I'd watch them all. Again, thanks guys for giving us the opportunity to see behind the curtain, it was great fun, and cemented my relationship with FCP.

Wow TigreBrian, we made sure to share this comment with the team because it really hit home for everyone involved. We love hearing our communities thoughts on everything we do, whether its content, our customer service, or our products etc. it honestly impacts the decisions we make, and things we choose to do. We think you'll be happy to know there's a lot more of where this came from, in addition to continuing to widen our breadth of DIY content at the same exact time. We hope to strike a balance between it all. The team went out on a limb a bit on this one, and have been excited to see how well received it was (bc we know we had a blast making it).

Truly loved this. Definitely an eye opener in modern day technically, craftsmanship and imagination. It also shows what the automotive community is and should be about. The one thing that I would like to know, in real world figures, what would the build cost if someone would like to duplicate or do something similar? The reason I ask is next year I am going to be traveling to different areas to ride dual sport motorcycles such as Colorado and I have been trying to figure out what vehicle will be best. Your set up is pretty much ideal because I will be towing a BMW R1200RT, KTM 690 Enduro, tools, camping gear and so on. Out of all the trucks, SUV's and Jeeps I have researched. I really like this the best because of the drivability enjoyment of driving on and off road when not loaded but still have the ability to tow without issue.

Good luck on your 957 journey though, hope its one for you and your son to remember. That said down the road we will likely properly fix it.

Also, if you have not already, you will want to pull up the front carpet and dry the wiring looms, as they have lots of unsealed splices. Done it myself and redid and sealed the factory splices, as the car uses resistance signalling for the CAN bus system, so a bad connection can make very strange things happen :D

The problem with the trunk cabinet is it’s not elevated to allow access to the under the trunk storage area that was for the spare and other tools. The hinged cover for the spare tire storage area can slide out so you can have access to a place for more dirty straps, tools and stuff.

Not wrong JT, its inconvenient but we are able to lift the cabinet up to get access to the bottom storage space for anything we don't plan to use often.

How about a report on how those cabinets worked out and a CAD file or contact info for the cabinet company to build some more? Looks like they would work out great for storage for my 955 rally sweep truck.
