Thanks Colin... my students at Sacramento State are not able to use the computer lab with Premiere Pro, but the university has purchased Adobe licenses to everyone to download Creative Cloud on their personal devices. I'm using Rush this fall.

I'm an Android user so I am less familiar with the iOS restrictions to the file system. I think you need to move them to whatever Apple uses for a "gallery". If you're syncing to the cloud, then you can import them into a Project on your computer and then they'll be available on your mobile device.

Not yet. It's difficult when you're a one man show and you need to find someone to sit in front of the camera so I can shoot them.

I'm editing footage shot Fuji XH1 HD. If I import direct from camera SD card the scenes appear almost right away but if I start to trim clips Rush can abort. How can I tell if files ready to edit?? I'm using OnePlus 7 pro. And mostly Great results. Thanks!! Great video.

Chances are those formats are highly compressed and it's really pushing RUSH to it's limits. If you're shooting 4k, then you need to use Premiere Pro with a proxy workflow. That's just too much data for most computers to edit. Here's a proxy tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2qWnpWLlpWbY9k

I guess I'm behind the times. You said that I can "buy" Premiere Pro now? Adobe now offers a version that is not a subscription? I just turned 70 and would like to wind down my expenses in retirement. I have CC now but am planning to drop it when my subscription runs out. That means I won't be able to mess with any of my old projects or even edit my existing Photoshop .PSD images. I'm not very happy about that, but I knew that when I went for the subscription. So your comment near the beginning of this video gave me a glimmer of hope that Adobe wouldn't abandon me completely. (I did purchase the Adobe Creative Suite many years ago, but it won't be able to read the newer file formats.) So any clarity about this would be helpful.

Thanks for your comment Robert regarding having to drop the cc subscription because of expenses during retirement...I am also near the retirement phase and needing to control expenses. Don't hold your breath, but between now and when i retire in a couple of years I am fervently contacting Adobe about setting up a a subscription plan for long time users (since first Photoshop and Illustrator, 1986) of Adobe products when we retire. At the minimum I am shooting for student rates for retirees who wish to use the programs for non-profit / personal use.

How do you turn the magnetization off? So that there is a gap when you delete a clip in the middle of the timeline? That would be more time saving for me If you know please reply. Also How do you snap clips together? This would help me a lot thank you :)

You can't change the behaviour of the first track. Only the top tracks behave like Premiere Pro (no magnetic snapping)

You can't save as backup, but you can duplicate the sequence and use that as a backup.

Rush is not an animation program, it's strictly for simple video editing on multiple platforms. If you need more features, that's what Premiere Pro is for.

@@VideoRevealed I understand that (I use Premier) - My daughter for school wanted a simpler program, and when she went to work some photos, basic key framing for zooming into the picture for example were not available. I would have figured basic motion key framing for stills would be available. Don't need more than that.

Does Rush have a blur/ face track option? That's the one thing I'm trying to figure out, and all of the reviews I've looked at till now do not mention anything about blur bubbles or face track. Otherwise Rush looks perfect!

If they were really working on it as hard as you claim they were, don't you think Android would be more than an afterthought? Why don't they give more than a "go away kid, it's coming soon" answer? This looks like it could be fun, I'm just bitching about their lack of commitment to diversity, their lack of openness with an honest release date.

Hey Mark, I worked for Adobe so I know what they're going through. First, Google is a partner on the Android development so it's not just up to Adobe. The monumental task is porting the Adobe Media Core to Android. This is no easy task as they have to think about way more devices than Apple supports. Release dates are not made public because they change; mostly due to changes by the vendor (Google). I'm not putting all the blame on Google, just letting you know if Adobe could release it today, they would. It actually costs Adobe more money to take longer to develop any new solution so they aren't dragging their feet at all.
