Hi, Sal. What a wonderful collection. I have many of those coins, but my collection is nowhere complete as yours. Congratulations. My favorite commem is the 2001 Buffalo. I also love the design of the Dolly Madison Dollar. I counted your $5 commems. You have 40 of them. That's just under ten ounces of gold as they weigh .2419 oz each. I collect the $5 commems, mostly in bu, but I have a few in proof. I have 28 of them or almost 7 oz of gold. I have one of the $10 Olympic commems from 1984 in proof and the 2003 Wright Bros. commem in bu. I also started getting every silver commem from the Mint in 1999. I get both the proof and bu dollars for each program for my silver dollar collection. I only get the $5 commems that I like. I don't get every one like I do the silver dollars. I will continue to add to my collection in the coming years. I now throw down a challenge to you to continue your fantastic collection in the coming years. I know you said you have had enough, but you, my friend are a die-hard collector. You can't let some stupid proposal by Congress stop your collection now. Wow! This is a real testament to how long you have been consistently collecting 👍👍👍! In honor of your dedication & the time it took you to set this all up, to share it with us, I took you up on your challenge of counting them. I came up with 161 total, including the 1 or more medals. I wonder if anyone came up with a different number, and / or how accurate my count was. I'm sure it's pretty close. Interestingly, I was going to count how many kitty hairs I saw, but ran out of time. My estimate is approx 161 kitty hairs as well! 😺😃

For 1976, the United States Mint produced Bicentennial Commemorative coins consisting of the Eisenhower Dollar, the Independence Hall Dollar and the Spirit of '76 Drummer Quarter Dollar. The proof versions were available in 40% Silver Clad. For 1976, the U.S. Mint also produced National Bicentennial Medals featuring the Statue of Liberty in Bronze, in Sterling Silver and in 90% Gold.

Rock solid collection simply amazing! Love the Jackie Robinson set, love to see the US mint do a shoeless Joe Jackson coin and have MLB put him in the HOF. I don’t think Pete Rose should be enshrined but believe Joe Jackson was very naive and not well educated but played unreal baseball, Shoeless Joe hit .408 as a rookie!

Hey Sal, exquisite collection - I am envious as I can't afford the majority of these. I have picked up a few of these on Ehay - I like the older gold commens as they are almost 1/4 oz of gold. I picked up some at like $15.00 over melt which I think is a great deal. I look at melt value when buying gold and silver more than the over-spot price as I feel it is best.
