Hello We are a very small church and was given atem mini to use for live streaming. We have 2 laptops and currently connect Ethernet cable to get internet. Using obs studio. Currently using camlink video capture to live stream But would like to use Atem as the video capture. Is it possible? How do you suggest we setup properly to make it work? And are the 2 laptops suggested. Camera we are using by the way is Canon Vixia IF R800. THANK YOU

The ATEM would connect to your OBS computer via usb. In OBS change the Camlink option to BlackMagicDesign. Connect your HDMI output from your camera to the ATEM Inputs. Everything in OBS will be the same.

if you are using the atem mini pro and are using multiview then you would need to run the USB into a program like OBS and then have OBS virtual camera go to restream and use OBS to output full projector to your physical projector

are you sure the monitor handles digital? I would believe that is the only reason why you are not seeing anything or the monitor does not support the resolution from the mini's HDMI output

How can we do it on the Mini Pro? 1) Have 3 camera + 1 computer inputs via HDMI (OK - This part is easy) / 2) Have the mix go to a Zoom call (on a 2nd computer) / 3) Have the mix also show locally on a Large Screen or Projector via HDMI / 4) Use the Multi-View to be able to preview and cue the various HDMI inputs ??? That sounds like the camera doesn't offer a clean hdmi output. See if the Nihon webcam app will work

Thank you for this video. We have a question: is there a device that can convert the usp c (webcam) output in the pro mini into hdmi output? We are using the hdmi output for multi view, the Ethernet for steaming, but we need a third hdmi output to broadcast to external monitor in another room in our church. The way we have done it is to have our multiview from splitting each camera input before connecting them to the switcher. But wasn’t the best. So we are hoping to have a device that can convert the usp c output into hdmi. Thanks

No I'm not aware of anything that can do that but you could use obs or vmix as a pure output that duplicates the usb input. You need a computer with multiple outputs though

Been using the ATEM Mini Pro and ran into an issue. I was streaming with a Netgear M1 hotspot, and the first time the ATEM got on the network fine. Not sure how, because it didn't ask for password it just showed up. Connected laptop through wifi on same network. Next day I tried to get back on the hotspot and ATEM won't connect. Any thoughts as to why? Loved your video by the way.

Sounds like your laptop was doing a network share. I have not tested this setup yet.

AJaytheCEO don’t think so. I used that approach before bridging the internet connection with laptop. Hotspot showed 2 devices connected and I made sure phone was off. Trying to work out the bugs in my setup. Have an upcoming live stream of a semi-pro football game June 6

If you are pulling a streaming key from youTube and placing that in the ATEM, and you have an internet connection with the ATEM, when you hit on air, on the multiview or software, you will see On-Air stop blinking when it has a connection. Does it ever stop blinking?

AJay, I have followed this video. I have been using Atem Mini and have had no problem using it with OBS, it recognised the Atem mine in sources and has worked fine. I got the Atem mini and I have not be able to get OBS to recognised the Blackmagic Device in sources. I have use just the USB cable, just the Ethernet cable and the two together and can not get it to recognize the mini pro for a camera source. I'm using Video Capture Device to find the mini pro, but only the Facetime camera on my IMac shows. It has me baffled. It works fine with the mini but not the mini pro. I can get a feed from HDMI out from the mini pro to an external monitor. Any suggestions on how to fix this.

Did you install the atem software? That is needed to install the driver so the computer knows what it is

@@AJaytheCEO Yes. Question, can both the ATEM mini and mini pro use the same software. On the pro I had to use manual IP address. I can get the video feed for the ATEM Mini Pro from the HDMI out put to an external monitor but not to the OBS.

How do you stream directly to Facebook from the mini itself? I keep having to hit the "go live" button in Facebook before the stream will start. But I thought one of the features of this product is the ability to save the streamkey in the switcher so you can go live right from the switcher without the need for a computer

That is a setting in Facebook you need to change. Facebook has it set to not go instantly live. Change that and you are good to go

AJay I’m learning from you. So thank you! I am a Pastor thrown into the studio doing live stream because of COVID-19. My situation: I built a chroma studio. Using Blackmagic 6k, 2 Sony alpha iii, Sony HD 1920x1080. I was streaming through SlingStudio until I was introduced to the ATEM Mini Pro. I’m using SlingStudio into camera 4 input on the ATEM. Because I am in a chroma studio, ATEM gives one upstream key. I was introduced to ATEM plus - multiple chroma key switcher for ATEM users. It works great. However I now have the Elgato stream deck. I want to control the ATEM Plus - multiple chroma key switcher through my stream deck. Can you please help me. I use a program called Proclaim for my streaming my service setup like sermon and announcements. However, it runs and control from my computer just as the ATEM Plus. Again I need your help. Your teaching is a step by step process that one can follow.

@@AJaytheCEO I used different kinds of HDMIs and a splitter. Where I was outputting to were two old tvs; Emerson (DVD) and Coby TV. Then I tried Viltrox Monitor and a TCL TV. So far none worked. -- Hoping to see if a Fiber Optic HDMI works on Output since it has Display/Source on it. Plan is to use any monitor as Multi-view. Laptop for control (Or not to have at all since I just want to travel with a Multiview Monitor and have something to record with an exteernal) , and OBS to stream/record from since it works pretty well. I just need the Multiview and I'm done when it comes to the video aspect, audio wise.. Rodecaster which I have set up for both ways Laptop or Atem.

I bought a 4K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable 30 Feet, 18Gbps 4K 60Hz(4:4:4 HDR10 HDCP2.2) 1440p 144Hz High Speed Ultra HD One-Direction Cord Compatible with Apple-TV Ps4 Xbox One .. which has an USB Adapter/HDMI Cord which must both be connected to a TV; the goal is just to see the Multi-View on a monitor .. so I finally accomplished my mission.
