1 of the best guide channel for Aether Gazer players. Very clear and easy to understand. Aether Gazer seem like a game with quite a few power creep chars, I hope all the S rank char will have a boost in the future cause I don't really like to play Hades although she is insanely strong (ridiculously tbh) that making my Shinri look quite dull

Much appreciated, kinda wanted shu S rank for and lost 50/50 to her during the yingzhao banner(kinda wrong time since I wanted her too but I got yingzhao also). But I was wondering which functor I should go for, shu’s or yingzhao’s atm. Just seems yingzhao isn’t as necessary as shu’s is.

I rather suggest to not to pull the functor at the moment. I think shu need some buff to be used as main and pulling Yingzhao will need more shifted stars 🥲

I am on the fence about getting her. Lost the 50/50 to a Jin-Ei dupe in standard banner so Oceanus is guaranteed but Shu does look like a fun modifier for the recurring dream boss fights. Also getting her signature functor seems like a vast improvement....

Because shes in standard banner and I have quite amount of tickets laying around, might as well pull her with functor. Result 70+10 pulls get 1 copy and 1 functor. NB in my book

So with functor 1. Can trigger counter atk from follow up s2 and s3 2. Trigger follow up 2x by switching back and forth stance (atk->def->atk) 3. Can trigger follow up even the first usage in def stance?

if you have 6 marks. S1 can be changed by holding it. I just noticed it when I was playing in an emulator. I also find her fun to play when playing the trial version. However, I will still skip it since I want to save for Thor and buy her functor (I already have enough scans for Thor though)

thanks for the guide as always. do u know why when my mark is full and when i tried to press the power attack, it changed the stance instead of expending the mark to use the power attack? this messed me up so bad because i want to use power attack but it keeps changing the stance instead

Use normal attack one time before power attack 👍Skill animation is quite long even though it looks ended.

Well, she looks like a character from PGR, but not AG because of counterattack mech, simply cuz dodge and CA more ease when enemy focus only your char, without teammates on the field, that could fkd up the rotation.

My words doesn't point toward her "badness" but simply discribe why she feels fun, but more clunky that it should be even at 1v1 mode (versus bosses). And thats why on CN she praised for her soloing no dmg performance (no team) and mostly at bossing, without group battle situations.

I just started playing. Are the B rank starting characters bad? Like I'd be wasting my time leveling up free shu when S Shu exists?

There is a power gap between B rank and S rank characters but you can invest any unit you like. It's just that lower rank unit need more investment to compete with S rank unit so invest on stronger character first to clear the contents easier than slowly build other units are recommended👍

Always assume that character A,B,C is trash just because of comments from some CN server players. Looks like this trend will keep going on forever for this game. There are so many reasons why her skill design and mechanics are created that way. She was designed after Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion which can be seen by her hairstyle, although now revealing her pony-tailed hair, and the tight suit she is wearing. You may notice that her dodge skill has no mechanics of having zero time effect for balance purpose and has rage regen instead primarily because of her aggresive skill usage thus rage consumption. It would be too OP for her if she can go zero time while dodging and go full blue code. Thus blue code has a dedicated effects for engaging zero time buff. In terms of complexity Hades is no where near Shu S because juggling and maintaining divine grace between the specified range to trigger her buff can be monitored easily and her stance switch if used for maintaining divine grace only to consume her marks for dance duo while in Shu's S stance switching is reactive and at the spur of the moment. You need to know when to be on offensive stance and when to go all out attack at offensive stance. Miss the chance and you have terrible loss of damage output and potential so she is not beginner friendly compared to Hades who is much easier to use. I don't have her in EN at the moment since I just top- up for the regular scan for 2 weeks but my pity is near counter is at 40-ish so she's definitely coming in a matter of two 10x pull. I am also pulling for her in the precise scan for a gamble but all is good to build up my soft pity readying it for Athena after Oct 10. Great guide you created and pretty much sums up how Shu players should play. It takes practice to master her but indeed rewarding if use her properly.

I feel bad for how fun Shu is, but she dmge slow. If she can spam her offensive core attack by lesser or faster stacking of marks. She'll definitely a good dps replacement for Hades. Or at least make her counter attacks in Def mode higher. Those counter attacks are just my minimum dmge using Hades. AG Devs should start making meta mods that are flashy and fun to play. I like how they made Shu a bit strategic, you can feel the action of gacha game with it. If it isn't because she damage slow, it make me unsatisfied and disappointed.

Eh, just build her if you feel like it. At this point, you're probably able to clear any stage with ease so it really only comes down to whether you enjoy playing the character or not. You can use her with A Shuu(wind res shred) and S Osiris(decent damage). Nile Gen zone buff is broken
