This video is painfully underrated. It's incredibly well done and takes me back to my favorite time in Magic, Tempest Block.

Gerard's journey to Yawgmoth's inner sanctum and the culmination of all these stories is a criminally underrated fantasy arc that rivals just about everything modern authors have done.

This is my favorite story ever and the art of the time is at its best. Thank you for this! Edit: Kev Walker everybody

Cool when I played in the nineties I asked my friends who played where one could look up the story that was told in pieces and quotes on the cards. They looked at me like I was crazy. Finally I get the story, thank you!

This is easily one of the best videos I’ve seen in quite some time over magic lore. I learned more about the Weatherlight in this video than when doing my own projects. Good work on the script and the video. I’m gonna promote the hell out of this.

Awesome job on the script and the choice of card art to illustrate the story! This was captivating to watch, answered all my questions, and taught me some unexpected new facts as well! I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Still have to say the weatherlight saga is still the best of magic story telling, there is always back and forth between the hero and villain

I don't know that much, but this history seems far better than the power "gatewatch" rangers
@Thorn998555 жыл бұрын
There does seem to be more "intrigue" rather than straightforward superhero-esque fights versus the villains. I can appreciate both, but the old story has more depth.

It is better! and seemed to be designed for a more mature audience imo

Charles Lauricella if we can convince them that we the audience appreciate this level of complexity maybe it will return. Catering to the bottom is undeniably profitable, but as every corporation does that the human conditioned is cheapened more and more.

Wait a minute...I thought Mirri, Cat Warrior became a vampire also when she was killed. I have a legendary card of her in vampire form for Mirage edition.
@CoolStuffIncVideo5 жыл бұрын
Mirri in vampire form was from Planar Chaos. It is an alternate version where Mirri gained the curse and not Crovax.

9:18 Fuck yeah, slivers are good guys. Also no offense Karn but I get the feeling slivers are a little more connected to each other than you are to the legacy. I've put you on the same field as a weatherlight, and nothing happened.

Im not a Magic player, but i found this story because i like reading books based on shared settings like Forgotten Realms or Warhammer. And this is a pretty good story. Its kind of a shame that its connected to a game and is basically unknown outside of the game's audience. Should have been a non tie in fantasy series and gotten more exposure

Have you realized that Urza is MtG's Karsus, yet? There's a way to convert cards to D&D...not just 'wingin it,' but actually port them in as they were intended to be.
