Official change to latin is just to let us know, that the government finally agreed on the way the alphabet will look like (because there are a lot of sound that don't fit into latin alphabet, same as turkish) and will start the transition. Yes, officially it's latin, but 99,9% of the country is cyrillic.

Perhaps it's not as useful when you're going to the grocery store, but you could find fellow Latin enjoyers and experience the language and culture in a different way. I could also argue that improving your mastery in speaking the language helps out in other areas where Latin is useful. Like having a deeper understanding of ancient texts or languages that are descended from Latin. That all said, there are many things we do for the simple sake of 'entertainment' so there's that.

The name "Ciudad de México" represents a federal entity, not the city. It's been wrongly translated in Mexico City by the USA in 1824, after a Mexico gouvernement brawl. The same goes for Washington. Washington D.C. represents its federal status, but the city itself is called Washington.

Dear Wouter, it is great that you love to learn all these languages and you do have talent, but whenever you say that you are „critical“ of yourself, I have to cringe. At one point in the video you claim to speak 29 languages, when 90% of the languages you claim to speak are nowhere near good enough to be considered B1 level. This is not meant to be offensive towards you, it is a rather supposed to serve as criticism. There are people who dedicate years upon years in order to properly learn a language. They learn the culture, the idioms, etc… Just being able to say a few phrases (and even say them incorrectly as you did in Turkish) without really interacting with what the other person asks/says doesn’t count as „speaking“ a language. It is just a way to show off.

Egypt is definitely more on the northern coast of Africa than East. That was BS. The Eastern part of Egypt borders the red sea, the northern part borders the Mediterranean
@danielperez-gonzalez877
@danielperez-gonzalez877 2 жыл бұрын
I think what is sillier is that the question was to name a country on the northern coast. The northern coast means all countries in Africa whose northcoast is on the Mediterranean. If the question was about the countries on the northernmost coast, then that's a slightly different question
@ericbilodeau3897
@ericbilodeau3897 2 жыл бұрын
@@danielperez-gonzalez877 is it? I get that not all the northern coast countries rise to the same latitude but are you implying there's more than 1 northern coast? Unless I suppose you want to differentiate Morocco because it's Atlantic and not Mediterranean

Igen, nyertél volna az első körben. Korábban láttam egy short videót, ahol Wouter egy német (osztrák?) sráctól ismerkedett a magyar nyelvvel. (Minden tiszteletem a próbálkozó úriemberé, de elég sok hibát vétett. Viszont elég sok mindent meg jól mondott, úgyhogy pacsi neki!)

Hebrew translation is a bit off. The guy was saying "My name is Ilan. I am 17 years old.". Not "this is my name"/"this is my age". Note that what you think is "You are awesome" actually means "much respect to you", which acts like a congratulation, not really like a compliment. "Channel" in Hebrew is ערוץ - arutz.
