FROM a panicked final call to trolls plaguing the search, the gruelling four-week hunt for Jay Slater in Tenerife has gripped the world.
Searchers have found a body yards from Jay's last known location - four weeks after the Brit 19-year-old disappeared while on holiday with pals.
Jay vanished 29 days ago after going to a rave the night before with friends - sparking a huge effort to find the Lancashire teen.
Spanish cops axed the official search less than two weeks in - but a body was discovered on Monday in the area Jay was last known to have been.
Police said "everything is pointing" to the body being Jay's - and initial evidence suggests he tragically died after an "accidental fall".
Jay's family also believe the Brit teen "fell from height" and was "killed instantly".

That said I still believe that foul play was the reason this young Lad was Murdered and I will NEVER sway away from my belief. Unless someone steps in to temporarily halt Jays Funeral from going ahead then This time on Sunday Jays remains will be nothing more than Ashes and any physical evidence missed will be lost forever! 🥹 Exactly what a certain close Relative of Jay.wanted. From the moment Jays remains were released by the Coroner. Many people who are buried still have the chance that by exhuming him/her they WILL have Justice where as as soon as Jays remains were released by the British Coroner his Mum went to the undertaker to make fast tracked funeral Arrangements. The Slater Family should at least asked the Lancashire Police to reopen Jays Disappearance and to have asked the Preston Coroner to order a Consultant Pathologist to carry out the less evasive postmortem in a CT Scanner that the Consultant pathologist and Coroner would have looked at stills from every part of Jays remains so that nothing that was missed in the evasive postmortem can be missed in the CT Postmortem. If Jays Funeral does go ahead he will be walking this Earth as a lost soul in limbo because a mass of physical evidence was missed (Jay being stabbed on the Beach in L.As😮) That is what happened and not an Accident or a fall from height!!

He didn't climb, though. He left the B&B, which is already located at a 650 m height, and walked the main road uphill. The spot where he went off road is at a 740 height. After leaving the main road he started to go downhill through a trail (Barranco de Juan López) and at some point he probably fell to his death in some gorge. He never needed to climb.

But the search continued, without all the publicity and hoopla. Experienced mountain rescue teams scoured the areas that no-one else could get to. And, given the extreme nature of the terrain, that's a slow job. However, it paid off eventually, and those guys deserve respect for their efforts. Seriously. Respect. In contrast, all the conspiracy nuts, trolls, opportunists, fame junkies and haters need to be shamed. If nothing else, this event has shown humanity at it's best, as well as it's small-minded self-centred worst. My sympathy to Jays family.

His body found in an area of Parque Rural de Teno shows he had no idea where he was or where he was going. He was totally turned around and going in the wrong direction, even after a local woman advised him when the bus would come. So unfortunate that these circumstances developed where his mind and emotions could not make a proper decision to safely return. Rest In Peace young man.

I don't think we should assume he set of on an 11hr walk. He may have just not wanted to sit around at the B&B for 2hrs waiting on a bus so thought he would use the time to start walking and try find another town or village with cigarettes...etc and get a bus or taxi from there. Then once he made the decision to go off road and could see the ocean, he associated the ocean with people because when you are in any of the ocean resorts and look back all you see is mountains, so go down the mountain you will find people. The further he went the more committed he was so didn't turn back.

I’m not into conspiracies but a couple of small points that it would be interesting to hear an explanation on, Firstly, if he was found so close to his last known location which was the focal point of the search, how did the trained sniffer dogs not pick up on his scent at all? How were they able to identify him from his fingerprints?

1) A lot of the plants in this area have a very strong smell and the winds are strong, the scent would be masked and blown away. 2) At best triangulation with 3 masks gives a position within 500m, which is an area of 750,000 m^2. With poor coverage this could be 2,500,000 m^2. With steep terrain , the actual area to be covered could be grater than 5M m^2. 3) With regards to fingerprints, there are two possibilities. The fingerprints were previously taken with regards to another matter and were on record. Or prints were taken that were known to be his prints, collected at his home or in the hotel where he was staying. This would be standard police practice. Some countries require fingerprint identification for entry, these data are recorded on the smart passports and this requirement is being expanded in Europe. This is an extension to the photo ID.

It is so sad. I was really hoping they would find him somewhere alive. I really hope someone has not done this to jay. It isnt anyones place yo tske anyones life away from them. Only God will deal with people who tske someones life. God says thou shalt not murder. Thst goes for every single person in the whole world. So if someone has done this to jay.. you need to take yourself in to the police station and confess now before God deals with you. Gods commands are for evrry person on this planet. Not just for Christians.. the word of the LORD says THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT MURDER. So if u have.. you will have GOD REPAYING YOU BACK BIG TIME. I would surrender yourself to the police. Cos God wont let u get away with it.
