Very good explanation, but i am trying to understand this technik, the only problem is, that with this technik you practice more kind of sounds that hurt voice strings except: Vocal modes: Natural Sound colour: Dark Sound Effects: air added + vibrato I hear people singing (who learn this technique) just scream all the time and sounds painful.

Hi Didi, thank you for replying. I understand your concern, as many singers were thought to believe that. Complete Vocal Technique is based on research and its findings are that loud volume and the other metallic modes are NOT harmful if done correctly. In lessons, we teach how exactly to sing however you wish with the correct technique to prevent any strain, pain, or damage. This video demonstrates very clear examples so that you and other viewers will hear the difference between vocal productions. However, once mastered, they can be sung in different ways, more subtle, in different dynamics, etc. I hope that clarifies things. Hi Didi, thank you for your comment! I agree with Stav here. It is possible to sound like you're completely destroying your voice, without actually doing so :-) For example with the effect distortion. The basic questions are: Does it sound like I want it to sound AND is it healthy? If the answer is YES to both of these questions, there is no problem. It might be that you don't like these sounds, and that's OK. Obviously you don't hàve to sing like that. Just take what works for you and throw away the rest. If you choose to only sing in Neutral with a dark sound color, added air and vibrato, that's great! But many people want to sound differently. And that's OK too. Is curbing “cry”?

Curbing is sometimes considered as Cry or Mix from other methods. I think that if you'd listen to different singers singing in Curbing you could hear that it's not always the case. It is a position in the larynx with its guidelines and can sound different depending on the vowels and sound color, and of course the singer.
