Plus, I watch videos from channels which provide either music theory or singing practice or both. Love singing so much!

What could be better than to learn making music with your own voice? It's a beautiful instrument to have. When you learn more you can then choose how to use your own voice and the selection of songs you can sing could expand a lot. You can end up learning to sing your favorite song, which you thought would be impossible. There might be a certain song with some absolutely fantastic lyrics you'd love to sing. Maybe you create those lyrics yourself... When you sing those words out loud it all becomes much more powerful. Keep watching these videos and you will get there. Take care and have a wonderful day.

what i learned from you the most: relax, let your body do the work, and enjoy.. also train, it doesn't matter if you can't do it the first 50, 100, 200 times, keep on going, have fun, enjoy what you are singing, whatever it is, be proud of the small victories you make, and listen to your body, it will tell you what and when you are doing something wrong. So take a break, have a camomille and honey tea, relax, and try again

Floor, do you have absolute pitch (absolut gehör)? I am allways amazed looking at your live shows that you can have pauses for several bars, do some casual windmilling and then you, seemingly effortlessly, goes into a belt that gives goose bumps, and believe me, I have tried to find an onset slightly out of pitch that you'd adjust slightly; But No! Ok, this is your occupation, but come on!! KZbin is riddled with clips with singers with a bad day at work... Not You! Just Amazing! -Are you so familiar with the feeling in all muscles involved in shaping the tone that you _know_ what is going to come out, or are you _that_ fast at adjusting the pitch that we can't pick it up, most of us 'commoners'?

Lovely lesson! Would like to add that CVT has added some new concepts in recent years, e.g Belting has changed name to Edge. And also the concept of "density" has been added, which basically is adding a bit of a curbing hold onto another mode, making it sound less "open" but keeping the quality of the original mode (shouty for overdrive, and twangy for edge) which I see you used in your singing quite a lot, and sound amazing btw

Spot-on with the format! - every explanation illustrated with a sample from one of your videos :D I think it was exactly what many of us wished to see. If you find any of these questions interesting, I was curious on some subjects, here are a few: 1. Do you get to practice/remember the breathing tempos for a song, at least the more complicated parts, or do you intuitively get the breathing right on the spot when singing? I seem to remember that I was pretty much aware of the phrases to come in the song and had the breath approach somewhat figured out from the repetitions, not sure if you/others do this, with such a vast repertoire. 2. From what I know, our voice sounds a bit different to us, compared to how the others hear it. E.g. maybe lower, or with more vibrato, etc., from person to person. How do you adjust your voice, or do you feel in your case that you need to adjust your voice sometimes in order to produce the exact sound that you want the others to hear, even if for you it sounds different for you? Do ear monitors play a role in this process? 3. Everybody seems to be amazed of how effortless and streamline your transitions are from one style to another, in seconds (they add a lot to how much you convey the energy/message of the lyrics). How difficult it is to do this seamlessly, does it come naturally to you, did it come with the experience, or do you just keep working on a song until you get every second of it perfect? 4. Have you ever surprised yourself with one of your belts? :)) Thanks for the awesome video! I will be watching it again later on :D

Always amazing to hear about your vocal techniques. I wish you were around many years ago to pass on this knowledge to some of my singers from the day! I love hearing about your vocal performing, however I am also fascinated by your stage presence and charisma. The way you use your arms and body language to express the emotions of the song and to invite the audience to join in the celebration of the musical experience. It adds so much to the overall performance! Is this something which you learned about in your Musical Theater training? I love it and feel it is one of the extras that sets you apart from the other wonderful vocalists. Also your graceful dance movements which are a performance in itself. I notice that Anneke v G has a similar style and have come to love her as well. Always #1 beautiful lady! It seems you are well on your way to establishing a sound and style for the amazing solo music which may be coming our way very soon! Please don't leave Nightwish too soon. Tuomas and all of us need you for our mental health and well being! No pressure. Just love. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🐺🐕🐎🎙🎶😊🤘👑 All the best to Hannes and the precious one.
