Thank you so much Rachael. I have similar hair texture as yours. Since going natural about 10 months ago, I been searching for a technique that would allow me to CW daily. I exercise intensely 5 to 6 days a week. Most hair curly hair gurus seems to think that wearing protective styles is best for length retention .Protective styles don't work so well for me. My hair is always wet, sweaty, sticky, smelly & generally disgusting after my workout!:) Your routine makes more sense my lifestyle.

Thanks for the redo. I've been doing a similar method - leaving in conditioner, favorite oil, spraying aloe Vera juice and then flaxseed gel - and my hair loves it. I think I might try applying more, like you do. It looks great.

Can you explain more about the Aloe Tea? Is it something I can buy or a mixture of products? If so, how do I make it? Your hair looks great and I can't wait to try it.

Hey Rachel. Great video...I am going to try this technique. Only one question... How do you make you Aloe Tea or Aloe Moisturizer? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this! I REALLY needed to do something with my hair but I was 'stuck' in an Ecostyler weekly wash n' go. I can't believe how quickly my hair is drier (as far as wetness) and more fun to play with. Not afraid of lengthy wash n' go's anymore and now more often! I use ACV instead of lemon juice and it turned out pretty well. Since I know that's also good for a hair rinse. It also came out as a neutral smell after adding honey and grape seed oil. :-) keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the video. It has finally given me the courage to try the wash n go. Question; Where do you find the marshmallow root you put in your flax seed gel? I have made the gel without the marshmallow root but my braid out n curl does not hold. It really frizzes and lose definition in the hot summer temps. Based on your comments on the marshmallow root, I think it'll help my wash n go hold better. Thanks for your insight and help.

Rachel your hair is beautiful. What do you add to the gel to make it pour from the bottle? I saw your flaxseed gel video and it is very thick. Do you ever put your hair in twists or only wash n go's?

Hi Rachel - I was watching one of your earlier videos where you promoted the Deva Curl styling cream and I got really excited because of how much you loved the product and was intrigued as is wasn't a gel. I'm just noticing that you now do your Wash and Go's with the Flax seed and was curious on why you made the switch. If you had to use a gel other than flaxseed, is there a Deva Curl gel that you would use? I tried the Arc Angel but found it left my hair too crunchy and I would like to find a product that allows my hair to move. Thanks

Hey there! You use a lot of flaxseed gel in one sitting. How often do you find that you have to make it? Do you just make a huge portion at one time? I see that I'm being too frugal!

Thank you for reloading. My biggest takeaways are regarding the flaxseed gel. First, I like how you have it in an applicator bottle. Second, you really slather the gel on your hair. Thanks again.

Hi there, a couple questions, your flaxseed gel look so much looser than my batch and seem to have more slip, I wonder if I'm using too much Irish moss or marshmellow root? Also do you have a night time video of how you maintain your wash n go at night? Thanks

Thanks -- im trying to gt a routine down for the morning...my hair isnt as long as yours yet so i basically co-wash every morning, but i never have enough time to let my hair air dry somewhat...I leave my house between 645a-7a and I end of leaving the house with dripping wet hair

Thanks! my wash and go's are already starting to look better because of your videos. and I am surprised to see that since I started doing the curly girl method fully (no more twists outs, no more combing/brushing, etc..) my hair has become much more easier to wash and a substantial reduction in the amount of shed hairs
@ayeshajohnson597610 жыл бұрын
I have one more question, if you don't mind. when your hair was shorter, how did you preserve it so that you didn't have to style and wet it EVERY day? I am just the opposite of most ppl, my hair is longest the 1st day. After that my hair swells up and looses it length Thanks

When you're tangle, do you go through every strand of hair or do you just follow how the curls clump together? When I try to go through every strand it' gets tangled?

Hi Rachael! It seems you have little shrinkage. How long have you been natural? I have TONS of shrinkage; about 70%! I do a slightly modifies CGM but I have to blow dry to stretch my curls. Check out my channel to see and give any advice on reducing shrinkage so I don't have to blow dry as much. Thanks :)
