I had a concussion on Jan 26th of this year.The TBI clinic in Knoxville could not take me for 6-8 months. I could not see a doctor at Vanderbilt at their TBI clinic until June 21st. I am 70 years old. I have had some medical treatments but it has been almost 8 months and I am still having issues that have not been treated. There are not enough qualified and trained doctors in my area to treat concussion patients at the time they need it most. I am starting to give up hope to get antsy better than I am right now.

This is so fascinating! After suffering for over 2 years from post concussive symptoms, extreme fatigue, POTS, severe anxiety, gut and hormonal issues and so on - I have finally been referred to a multidisciplinary concussion clinic and I am so overjoyed to finally get treatment. I did get another concussion recently, so this is really good information. As I’ve been working with a naturopath for my gut and hormonal health and have been addressing my mental health issues - all of what you’re saying makes so much sense! I have struggled with health issues for about 6 years now and had some prior to the concussion so the exacerbation makes a lot of sense. Thankyou for such a great video 🙌🏼.

Thank you. Best information source out there, for concussions. Thorough, detailed, easy to understand. You present the information all at once, instead of making us hunt for the rest of the story in more vudeos. This subject needed, and was long overdue for, a new perspective. Good stuff. I would sincerely appreciate booking an appointment with you. I saw online your head office in Mississauga, But did not see any contact information. What would be the best way to reach out to you and schedule an appointment? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bill.

None of the studies identify what manual cervical therapy is... Can you elaborate? Most chiros focus on twist the head and pop the neck. NUCCA/Atlas chiros have their narrow focus. PTs tend to focus on Range of Motion. What about postural discipline? Your last point was very good. Looking for symptoms like memory symptoms could be expanded greatly. If one looks for a symptom, one will often find it as the mind uses past sensations to be replayed.

@@nicolehurst9808 so i think i found out what its from. The suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull can cause all sorts of weird symptoms in the head if they are out of wack or injured. I started doing neck exercises, stretches, and trying to release the muscle and Ive finally started to get some relief. The pressure has gone down significantly

I suffered from PCS anxiety, headaches, tinnitus and many other symptoms for about 9 months before I tried an upper cervical chiropractor and it has helped tremendously. Important also is to give up caffeine completely even small amounts of decaf coffee... this was the hardest thing for me but you would be surprised how much it can effect your nervous system.

Doc, i was looking at a clinic based in Utah, USA named cognitive FX which claim to help significantly ease PCS symptoms within 1-2 weeks of treatment. Is it possible ? Seems too good to be true
@CompleteConcussions

There is no evidence that this is possible. From my understanding you go for a week or so and then there is homework after the fact. The homework is likely what is effective (not the 1 week)

Hello, great info! I am from England I had a head injury about 3 months ago during a fight scene in a film and I have had prolonged symptoms ever since which have caused me to have to give up certain things in my daily life, mainly due to how bad the dizziness, balance, and vision issues are, making it difficult to do anything in daily life. Would I be able to take the concussion fix course from over here in little old England? Thank you!

Is it likely that the Concussion Fix program will work for me? Will I need to have vestibular, eye, and neck therapy after completing the program, or does the program allow for full recovery from your own home without the need for specialists and rehab? I've been suffering from Post Concussive Syndrome for 3 years, following 2 car accidents; one where I bumped my head, and another that involved some whiplash. I experience heavy brain fog, dizziness, fatigue, autonomic dysfunction, cognitive issues, visual disturbances, numbness/tingling in the face and arms, wobbly unsteady movements, occasional gait changes, occasional headaches, intermittent anisocoria, etc. I've had 3 MRI's, CT scans, an MRA, vestibular testing, autonomic testing, etc. My MRI scans all look normal; no evidence of neurological diseases. MRA scan was normal. Vestibular testing ruled that I have "Post Concussive Syndrome of a central basis." My autonomic testing had a CASS score of 0, which means I technically don't have dysautonomia, although I do experience autonomic dysfunction in the form of POTS and anisocoria; my pupils will dilate at different sizes, one sometimes being smaller or larger than the other. The autonomic testing found that I have a delayed sweat response in my left arm. Other than that, everything else checks out as "normal". I've been to every -ologist and specialist I can think of. None of them have been able to help me. I was told by a second neurologist that he thinks I will heal but that it's going to take time. Well, it's been 3 years and I don't feel any better. Is there hope for me to recover?
@CompleteConcussions
@CompleteConcussions 5 ай бұрын
This is exactly what the concussion fix program is really good at. People who can't seem to get better after years despite trying everything! Concussion and post-concussion syndrome is completely treatable but where the healthcare system fails most people is that everything is looked at in silos...concussion doesn't work like that as it's an intricate balance of a bunch of systems working together. Our approach is to bring all the systems together. Read the reviews on google...It's quite effective. After 3 years, I think it's worth a shot...but i'll leave that up to you!
@IndialienJones

@@CompleteConcussions Thank you for the reply! Do you think that I still have a good shot at healing even though it’s been 3 years?
@CompleteConcussions
@CompleteConcussions 4 ай бұрын
@@IndialienJones Yep! As longs as you do the right things in the right order, recovery is totally possible no matter how long it's been. We have people recover fully who are 10 years out. The sooner you get started on the right path the better...so the longer it's been the longer it takes, but as long as you're willing to be consistent and do the work, it's totally possible!
