I love all your pages. You do such a wonderful job. I especially love that acrylic background behind the beetles in the Hannah Karlzon book. The color combinations were perfect. And the one with the witch upside down is great. I thought the tan background made it look like she was having a crash landing and that is all the dust she stirred up. LOL

So many beautiful pages, K you are the queen of glitter! I applaud you for that really busy double page, it looks beautiful, but also like a labour of love. I really don't know how you manage to complete so many pages without any of them looking rushed. "Naturschätze" was a word that was bugging me, that I really should know it so I looked it up for you. It translates literally as "natural treasures" or less prosaically as "natural resources!"

My favorite for Oct is your two page spread in the Complicated book. That so easily could have been a muddied mish mash of lots of colors, but you managed to do it so that the structure of the house was very easy to see, while also using a lot of color for other elements. Another great month’s effort K! K, I had to come back here to say thank you! again for providing the link a couple weeks ago on the Back Edition mandala book. Mine just arrived this afternoon. I know you’ve said all along it is a big book, but OMG! Seeit in person is something else! It is MASSIVE! And what incredible paper quality! It will be a real treat to work in :-)

Hi K, I loved looking at your pages. They make me happy. The witch upside down on her broom was cute. Your pencil work looks great to me. You have so much talent. I'm getting better with coloring. I like to do a mix of stuff on the page. I wanted to ask, is a trick to making windows look frosted for Winter scenes? Maybe somebody could direct me to a tutorial or maybe use some type of glitter paste? Take care and thank you for sharing with us.
@ColouringwithK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tiffany, thanks so much for your comment. I think to make a window look frosted I might try Cosmic shimmer aurora sparkle paste or maybe Decoart glamour dust acrylic paint called ice crystal. You should be able to get both on Amazon. Alternatively, do a pale bluish white pencil blend over the windows and then over it apply clear glitter like Spectrum noir sparkle pen or Windsor and Newton iridescent medium. You could add some silver lines from a metallic silver gel pen on the window before adding the glitter may be?

Should I get the Pablo’s or the Luminance pencils? I can’t decide and I can’t afford both. I like soft core pencils. I’ve tried the Luminance but not the Pablo’s and I like the Luminance. Any recommendations? Pages beautiful as always K. I love the way you did the ghosts. So cute. The bats are very cool too.
@Prettypages713 жыл бұрын
I would suggest buy a few open stock of both to see which you prefer. Then slowly build your collection by buying open stock pencils. Buy the colours you normally use .😉
@The_Lion_And_The_Lamb3 жыл бұрын
@@Prettypages71 thx maybe I’ll do that.
@ColouringwithK3 жыл бұрын
Definitely getting 4 or so pencils of each open stock and trying blends and things might help you decide. So why not buy 2 shades of green and 2 shades of blue or even 3 shades that would blend for each type of pencil? I say this because they are so expensive and you want to be sure as possible before splurging. The Luminance have a more waxy feel and the Pablos are more like Polys and oil-like. This is in my opinion though - think of Lumis similar to Prismas and Pablos are like Polys but slightly softer. I find Pablos don’t work on a wider range of papers the way I would like them to (on some papers they’re beautiful), but I find the Lumi’s work on a well on a greater range of different papers. Hope that helps a little. 😊

I love seeing all your beautiful completed pages every month! They are always stunning! Do you put anything under Pentel Hybrid Duel Metallic pens? I've had them bled though pages in my Rita Berman Spring book. While I was trying to purchase Coliro paints in the US. I discovered FineTec and Coliro are now 2 separate companies. Coliro paints are in the round pans and are easy to get in the UK. While FineTec are rectangle pans are are much easier to get in the US versus trying to buy Coliro. Amazon US have a few Coliro, but I've been getting them threw JetPens. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pages!
@ColouringwithK3 жыл бұрын
Oh I didn’t know about Coliro and Finetec and separate marketing, I was wondering if the square pan colours are the same or similar to the round pan ones. I only use light coloured gel pens (the Pentel hybrid) in Rita B books as I agree the darker colours do seem to bleed through. If you use the gel pen over pencil, it’s unlikely to bleed through I find.
