I think if they'd aimed their conveyor in the eating area UP instead of down and pointed the upper grabber at the wall, that top table could have been served. The dogs would come out, go up, fill the upper grabber, then the bottom grabbers would take them down.

It's the same way they're serving hot dogs on the conveyor belts. The guests are still wanting ketchup, it's just instantly served to them so you don't see the thought bubble.
