At 2:44 what are those 6 holes on the side of the main Board ?

are you still repairing these. I repaired mine but when plugging it in the red light comes on but does not flash. Any ideas

It looks like outer (0V and 5V) USB connections were connected to the same copper plane (probably 0V)! Did this recovery work, or did the PC get shorted out and reject the drive?

You're right. In the video there is a critical error of connecting 5 volts to the same surface of 0. The owner of the video was confused because the break was exactly between the two surfaces... The 5 volts should be soldered to another point on the other side of the circuit at the right side of the large component marked with 'E' that connects two surfaces - sea at 2:45 point (it may be a resistor, capacitor or coil)

I have a usb that is not detected and I tried everything to get the data. I have another one of the same model and memory size and I figured I can open them and switch the memory card of the broken one to the working one. Would something like this even work?
