This guy recalls me a Philipine guy who "restores"cars. They may have knowledge and tools but this is a terrible job, but very nicely pained. No torqmeter in engine, minimun oil when assembling so started mostly dried, no ring change, no torqmeter on cylinder head. On the generator side worse, you must make a deep clean in all copper coils with an dielectric sollution and if you want it perfectly, new vanish and oven. You wont see the effects of this bad job until you put generator in minimally serious load, expect stator or rotor burnt, bad engine functioning.. But very fancy painted. Something that pisses me off if dissassemblng machines in an absolute ridiculuos amount of dirt. No vacumm cleaner, no wd 40, no brush, just hammer and screwdrivre. did not see him putting the safety washers turned in the connecting rod or in the flywheel... so nice for seeing and listening to the bird, but terrible job. Sorry, a generator must work well, and may look well too.....

and no electrical insulation or resistance measurements, no rotor balancing test, no bearings replacement, no coal contact surfacing, no stator internal treatment like varnish (because seem to be rusted and old)

rough as guts on just about every piece. Let the bolts cool down a bit after heating them before you try drill them out.

This was okay, but many things I see could be improved upon. I like the fact he basically made his own parts cleaner with a pan, gas and brush, clever. But the brushes and coils on the electric motor still have a lot of rust. This was not done well. There was really very little restoration effort put into the electric motor, so sad. Much more should have been done. I'm glad you got it running.

@@restorationproduct1718 Tks. Can you share the name of the original manufacturer ? I live in a country where generators are still needed. The size of this generator have the right size, KVa and diesel for the place I have to place the generator. Other diesel generators are normally very big.

un the generator part. the stater should have been sandpapered a bit. keeping it rusty will harm it in the long run
