You don't know how long I've been waiting for people smarter than me to figure out how to *consistently* use molly to enter the void (I've tried for literal ages and still only managed it a few times). Never thought about a straight vertical tunnel, that's genius :) Super dope upload! Also really love the dig-underneath-molly-to-make-her-lower-faster strat, that's awesome. The solo player in me absolutely needs to try and combine those two strats together because that can absolutely speed up the need to collect a resup to void jump consistently haha. Cool stuff as usual. You guys are great!

Thank you! I will say - I tried the vertical tunnel glitch solo and couldn’t get it to work. So I’m not sure if it’s something that only works while in a group (and not host). We actually found out about it by complete accident. While doing the runs it happened to us several times without trying; then we realized how much time it could save if we could do it consistently. Out of a couple dozen runs Nova was able to do it every single time

😂 to be fair a developer commented on one of Ryeor’s videos stating they were aware you could drill down to the geode and left it in. I just don’t know if they were aware the mission could be exploited this much. For what it’s worth, I actually really enjoy the new mission when played as intended. I don’t foresee me doing this type of strategy for a while

Yep! It's insane how fast the mission can be with these skips. I'm hoping to try a Deep Dive speedrun with this strategy since it's seeded and we'd be able to plan our routes and improve the time

Thanks! And I can’t really explain how the drop pod clip works - just happens to be a glitch in the game that a lot of speedrunners utilize to save time. It doesn’t kill you but if you position yourself incorrectly, it can push you through the bottom of the map

Kind of hard to explain…Autogyro has a good video on drop pod clipping. Basically I try to grapple to right under where the drop pod floor will land. Once the drop pod lands, you jump up through the floor of the drop pod and should pop right in

We started out basically just hoping to run into it. After discovering Scout could glitch out and teleport to the geode, Scout could ping it with a waypoint and guide driller to it every single time

Oh wow thats really smart, I wanted to ask about that too but I forgot. How does the Molly clip work is it similar to clipping into the drop pod after it lands? How does the Scout then clip back in bounds into the geode do you grapple to it from out of bounds or how does that work? I suppose a lot of those questions will be answered when I see Nova's pov. Edit: I just saw Nova's pov and I think I understand it less now 😅

@@BlackwingXElite it seems to be kind of random. When you’re sitting on top of Molly in that vertical tunnel it will just kind of “push” you out. I found it works best if you’re by the Mule legs. Once out, it should teleport you to the geode (if you’re too high it may teleport you back to the cave). If you’re close enough you can also grapple to the geode

I do a pretty similar thing solo as scout but I first collect enough nitra for a resup that I call down in the geode to bore a tunnel through the ground so I can just boomstick back up. Not quite as insanely fast as you crackheads lmao, but for solo haz5+ you cant do it any better imo. Excellent speedrun!

You can’t see it on the map at the start and no, it’s not always directly under Molly. We dig straight down right away and then Scout glitches through the map to the geode. Once there, Scout can ping the location of the geode to guide Driller there

Is the limiting factor of reaching the geode how long it takes to drill or how long molly takes? In other words: could bringing a second driller be worth it?

More so on the Driller side. Because Scout gets there so quickly, Scout calls Molly to the geode and Molly ends up “void walking” since there is no path yet. The geode can be at various depths, too. All depends on the seed. We thought about two drillers but never tried it. I imagine the tunnel would get too crowded with players

I think with some practice drilling until almost overheating and then switching could be very efficient, though I don't know if it would save any time. If Molly just void walks there anyways, then it's questionable whether you need driller and engi to go there anyways. Scout can always kill themselves with fall damage after depositing all the seeds.

The short answer: we don’t. But we do know that there’s a high likelihood of running into it because of the size of the geode. And once Scout goes out of bounds and teleports to the geode, they can ping the location and direct Driller right to it

No I don’t. It requires a lot of coordination and understanding of what’s going on. There’s a lot more to the drillevator skip than what’s shown in this video. Plus, I really like the mission the way it is intended. I don’t even foresee me doing this again for a while

tried to do this with a friend but we couldn't get it to work, regardless of if we glitched our way to the geode, or dug all the way to it with a driller and engineer, we couldn't call the drop pod even though we deposited all 7 seeds (sometimes 8) we made sure that the entrance wasn't blocked in any way, we tried from under the spawn room and from a different cave, we tried making it so only one of us grabbed and deposited all seeds and viceversa, but nothing worked are four players necessary? is it required for one player to be at the starting drop pod or something?

one time we also tried even calling a supply pod so a hole was made all the way from the top, we made sure to connect it to our main tunnel that connected to the spawn area but that didn't work either

@@Ggahni It can be horizontal, just as long as the tunnel connects both rooms. Also, if you deposit the seeds before the tunnel is made it will not work. You have to wait until the tunnel is connected and open before depositing the seeds

Couple things: the geode is actually really big and you have a very good chance of running into it by digging straight down. Also, with Scout (Nova) glitching out of bounds and teleporting to the geode, she is able to ping it and guide the driller to the location.
