My personal strat for hardcore runs it tec rush prawn suit so you can go basically everywhere and bring enough parts to build a moon pool in the lost river with a thermal rector so you can rush the bottom and boom your done with basically all the danger And the hard recourses for the two big builds is just two or three drill trips anyway that's not bad at all

I am genuinely surprised that you dislike the Prawn Suit as I have heard nothing but praise. Especially you saying that the Prawn Suit is slower than other vehicles. If you want to enhance your experience with the prawn suit, use 2 grappling arms at the same time. That is what makes people love the Prawn Suit so much, and it's really fun to do. And if you want to use the drill arm, just leave the Prawn Suit, change the arm, mine, and put the grappling hook on. Still an awesome video, keep it up.

Doomsday device makes sense. If the bacteria gets out, but is capable of being contained on the planet, activate the enforcement platform. If it can't be contained, i.e. if it will likely escape the planet, use the doomsday device.

Its called emperor instead of empress because the developers specificaly asked it for to be called like that. When it was first introduced in early access without its lore there were many people calling it emperess so they clarified

What's funny is that I am the opposite of this dude. Literally, I've only brought my cyclops down to the lava zone ONCE and got back with less than 10 power left. The Cyclops is obsolite to me, and it's too big for me to maneuver, so any other time, I just leave it at a lost river entrance. And another thing. Once the portal from prison to gun has been made, i only travel to lava zone by prawn and the portal, like today when i was playing, i used my prawn to go to the lava zone to drill gold since i was out of it. I am honestly not scared of the lava zone anymore. Even though it was completely poinless, I maxed out my cyclops along with all 6 ion power cells, but I don't use it.

Mee too. The only advantage of the cyclops is that you can make base stuff in it. Oh....and silent running, leviathans just ignore you (except, probably the map-edge ghosts). Also I was wondering if he does not know of the inactive lava zone portal. It's such a time saver when you have to do the last depth upgrade.

I ran out of power while leaving the lava zone right whem the ghost leviathan was attacking me good thing I brought extra 16 power cells😅 or my cyclops would have been cooked i rna out of pwer quick because i put the cyclops in silent running the whole time i was in the containment chamber😂

@@vengeful_pluto5586 Honestly, if you know how to use the Cyclops correctly, you can't get attacked by any creatures. If you see a Leviathan coming to you, just turn off the engine and they will instantly be disinterested or only attack once. That's why I take my Cyclops EVERYWHERE.

This is possible. You can make the swim from above the drop to the lava zone in the peaceful glade all the way to the lava castle. Which you have to do because of the seamoth maximum crush depth of 900.

I just completed this challenge myself. However I did it a diferent way by actually using the Moon pool as a mini base which means I did end up building lockers, Work bench and fabricator in the Moon Pool. And yes I did use it to recharge my Prawn suit and setted up battery chargers. Sorry if doing all that is cheating. :/ Also, it took me 3 hours and 56 minutes to complete.

Honestly: skill issue, the prawn suit is great. Especially in big caves like the lost river or the lava zone because you can just grappling hook yourself along the ceiling like spiderman. But getting stuck and walking slow is annoying, I admit.

My favorite challange- "Backpack hero." No waterproof lockers, and you must deconstruct your base when you go someplace else. (though you can scavange around the local area for resources, dont go further than your oxygen tanks allow you to return to the base)

I hated piloting the cyclops so I did all the end game stuff mostly just using the prawn suit for everything. I did NOT want to mess with getting the cyclops thru the lost river and lava biomes! Prawn suit was a lot easier to use imo, it provides more mobility AND offense.

i know you hate th eprawnsuit so here are some tips and tricks that will make you love it because to me it is indeed the best vehicule in the game 1)grappling hoppping the straighter the line the better(lways try to grapple to things at eyes lever or higher),it takes 1 seconde for the grappling to pull you at max speed,once grapple,jump(with the jump add-on on for better energy efficiency) and tap your space bar like u were jumping,at max speed you go even faster than a seamoth and it'll make you "float" for 1.000 meters (don't forget to press the forward mouvement button for more speed) if you want to turn then you can curve your trajectory just like Bhopping,by mooving forward and looking at an other dirrection while conserving the speed 2) immortality by grappling to a leviathan torso,whatever leviathan you can "ride" it and kill it with your drill with considerable ease,i often don't even get bitten by doing this and most of my play throught,i ain't scare of leviathans,they are scared of me 3)storage i mean,it litterally starts with the equivalent of 3 seamoth storage add-ons for free and it recharges with heat,which is found in high and deep sea and lets you hard farm rare materials with its drill + yours and the prawn one makes you have 2 inventories instead of 1 for free 4)elevator grappling hopping but upwards. Do note that anything smaller than a greenish shark(forgot its name) can be pulled towards you,including floaters,items,living creatures,so you can "step" on it,it counts as solid ground making you able to jetpack upwards quite indefinitely 5)battery it has one of the best battery managment in the game especially with the heat module and only takes 2 batteries + you can literraly put the second paire of battery inside the suit 6)mobility being faster than the seamoth,it is also smaller,since it is not as wide,it can go into things the seamoth can't such as cracks or narrow paths,even on earth(even though it is bad) and won't loose health if you hit the ground or environement with it + it has insane depth for free once again at 900m which is once gain the maximum seamoth depth for free side notes and mecanics : the jumping add-ons stacks meaning 3 of these are better than one for exemple the punches deal more damage than the drill (equivalent of 15 knife stabs per punch) you can throw projectiles by grabbing them with grappling and use the swinging physics to deal damage sorry it was a lot of infos but i hope you liked it :))

Why not take the lost river route nere the dunes (Life pod 2) Not far from the alien base, easy access to the lava zone, 2 ghost levithans (if you know whats your doing its easy)
