sudowoodo isn't grass/rock because it's supposed to be a fake tree. sudo means fake.

The whole point of sudowoodo is that it ISN'T grass type.

I think "Cave" is just synonymous with "Dungeon" for other RPGs. Ilex Forest doesn't have encounters in tall grass, it's just an entire room of encounter tiles that you have to escape rope to get out of. Compare that to Viridian Forest where it's grass tile encounters within the forest. The Dex seems to tell you what kind of encounter it is, so if it's a tile it tells you the type of type, like grass, surf, "cave" (dungeon floor that has encounters without grass but also not on water). Also the reason Sudowoodo is monk Rock is because the joke is that he's a fake tree, so he's not actually grass type. "Pseudo wood"

Finished my livingdex today, started Johto after that so I don't have to worry

You dont have to go through cianwood to get to route 48, you can actually fly to a few non red zones in johto such as safari zone, lake of rage and pokemon league cave's entrance directly

no ilex forest, in the real games as well, is treated as a cave thats why you cant fly out of it and can use an escape rope idk why but that why it says cave cuz the forest is treated as one by the game

You know what's funny is I made a shop in the forum to sell pokedex services so people didn't have black spots in their dex so they could OT everything easier haha. I have an alt with every Mon in the dex in order. Trading people and then fill the rest with non OT like shaymin. I opened it before johto and everyone said there's no use for this, and now everyone is like omg! Do you have (large list of numbers in the pokedex) I need it to see the location. I mainly made it as a selling point to be able to look at mons move sets and their levels so you know if you can safely catch a shiny and not have it blow up or recoil itself.
