Maughlin has some deep rough lore. He's like Prometheus in Greek mythology. He drops one of the best armor sets increasing soul gain. And his punishment is to become part of the Rotten; of whom is a collection of all the Maughlins killed across the multiverse. And because the Rotten is one of the best boss farms it doesn't get any better. Like the liver of Prometheus that regrows, so does the Rotten every time a bonfire ascetic is used

Great video as always bro. As for Fume Knight vs Ivory King, you have to remember that Crown of the Old Iron King was released a couple of months before Ivory King, and when Fume Knight appeared on the scene, he was by far, and i mean BY FAR, the hardest boss in From Soft history at the time, so he left quite an impression. Nowadays, compared to bosses like Orphan of Kos, or Friede, or Ishin, or Malenia, he is literally a joke. But back then he seemed impossible. Now as for resins, they do not just add 50 flat damage. It is quite more complex than that. Also keep in mind that no matter what the tooltip says, when you infuse a weapon it has to go through 2 different defenses, so infused weapons do not always do more damage, even if they have IN THEORY higher attack rating.

I also think people used shields more back then, before bloodborne came out, and fume knight punish you much more for blocking his attacks compared to ivory king or sir alonne, who I considered the two most difficult bosses in DS2. But that's because I only ever use small shields for parrying, if I had used greatnshields and try to block their attacks, they probably would have been much more difficult.

I play the ps3 version of SotFS Some tips: The club is a great weapon that can carry you The Ice Rapier is one of the best weapons you can own. You can powerstance broken short swords. Why would you? Idk it still does less damage than a broadsword per each swing Naked + Silvercat Ring = access to the Pit. Bring lifegem

The Roaring Halberd should actually be pretty good on an SL1 character; on my hexer build with 45/45 int/faith, I was actually getting more damage out of the weapon when infused with Raw, and only got about 60 extra points of damage from my scaling, so it should perform similarly on SL1

I'm doing SL1 Deprived + Covenant of Champions + No Armor + Consumable + Broken Straight Sword run right now. Iron Keep is definitely my worst nightmare especially those Alonne Knights fcker. I finally gave up on that area and decided to go farm some souls until 1 mil souls memory to unlock Shrine of Winter. I hope i can beat the game or atleast the main game.
