@@adzyt9185 What I would do is print out your specification (edexcel or aqa.. etc) and make sure its the updated version for 2022 as they tell us whats gonna be on our assessment. I would definitely go through this guy’s videos and highlight the topics on the specification as you go on. Once you have highlighted all of it go on to maths genie and do all the past papers. And keep doing that until the summer exams. I highly recommend this as gcse maths papers each year are basically the same question just with different numbers and worded differently. If i can get from a 3 to a 7 im sure you can. Good Luck!!

at 9:33 why do we not expand the bracket? why does it stay 2(x-5/2) and not 2x-5??
@chriskemp466
@chriskemp466 11 ай бұрын
Might be worth a mention that the reason the turning point is as it is shown is that the bracket is at its minimum (i.e. zero since it's squared) when the x is the opposite of the number and hence y is at it's lowest value, i.e. the turning point. The 3 rd example has no real roots which is why the y value of the turning point is above the x line, i.e. +8

12:27 -7 1/4 x 2 = +14 1/2, two negatives give a positive, you should write it with brackets instead as -(7 1/4) x 2 to get -14 1/2 otherwise it's confusing because I don't know what you mean unless you explicitly say it

Like most gifted mathematicians unfortunately you make too many logic leaps in your explanations without explaining why you have made that step. I am sure that Most of the time you don’t even realise you are doing it because to you the next step seems obvious, however the video is mainly going to be watched by students who by definition, don’t understand the concept fully and therefore need someone to provide a better explanation than they have had so far at school.

? what explanation do you need for that, it's just x^2 + nx + k, you take x^2 + nx to make a form like (a+b)^2 and then minus the thing you've added to make that square brackets. simple as that
