@@adzyt9185 What I would do is print out your specification (edexcel or aqa.. etc) and make sure its the updated version for 2022 as they tell us whats gonna be on our assessment. I would definitely go through this guy’s videos and highlight the topics on the specification as you go on. Once you have highlighted all of it go on to maths genie and do all the past papers. And keep doing that until the summer exams. I highly recommend this as gcse maths papers each year are basically the same question just with different numbers and worded differently. at 9:33 why do we not expand the bracket? why does it stay 2(x-5/2) and not 2x-5??
@chriskemp46611 ай бұрын
Might be worth a mention that the reason the turning point is as it is shown is that the bracket is at its minimum (i.e. zero since it's squared) when the x is the opposite of the number and hence y is at it's lowest value, i.e. the turning point. The 3 rd example has no real roots which is why the y value of the turning point is above the x line, i.e. +8

We change the signs to make the equation equal zero, because they cancel one another out. The co-ordinates plot the points of a line on a quadratic graph where they intercept the axes.
