Being of a 'History of ideas' persuasion, i really do believe that Math should be taught in this way. The historical perspective demonstrates the evolution of how 'things' are as they are. Students are thrown into something intimidating without realizing how difficult these problems were for even the creators.

Thanks for the video! What topics (aside from group theory) do you think will be covered in this new math history series?

This is just a continuation of our History of Maths course. I will be lecturing also on group theory, Galois theory, Algebraic number theory, and Lie groups. So lots of 19th century mathematics.
