I’ve been skating for 19 years and will never understand when skateboarders get upset with skating being apart of something other than Thrasher or Transworld. We hate sharing our culture for some reason. If it weren’t for the Tony Hawk games, I never would’ve started. Core skaters hated him at the time for making that game, though.

just so ya know my peeps: if you had no previous experience doing frontside flips this will take you WEEKS OR MONTHS to learn even if you got kickflip and 180 on lock. These videos arent bad but you aint hardly ever gonna show up at the park and learn em 30 minutes later LMAO. skating hard as hell.

I always had issues with FS Flips, and what PRod was saying about following through with the shoulders was my biggest issue. If you’re learning this trick, I cannot emphasize it enough, FOLLOW THROUGH WITH YOUR SHOULDERS!!!!!! That’s the biggest key I swear

thanks, i still need some kinda guidance on when to flick, and what direction...there's like no actual info in this video..do you flick same direction as a kickflip, and just spin the board (and yr shoulders) around at the same time, or do you flick slightly into the frontside spin after you're already turning. need the pop/spin dissected but there's none of that here and hop can obviously already do the trick.

i'm gonna guess you flick just slightly into the turn, which means you're actually turning first or almost at the same time as you pop, it seems like a backside flip works that way too...

Good to see you back out there Hop. Bro, style problem's in your 180.. 10 says your FS 180 is a leaping backward and not rotating forward cleanly. Easy drill to fix that is to ride straight at ledges perpendicular, front 180 to tail stall.

So as an actual skater a first attempt on any trick that you have never tried no matter a pro or rookie will result in many attempts he clearly has spent hours on that backside flip it looked really good he even caught it after the flip that takes skill/dedication and over all time experience. If there is one thing I’ve learned from skating it’s that if you truly enjoy something you can become good or even better than that it’s up to you and understanding one’s limitations and slowly surpass oneself.
