Purpose is a better album overall. His voice was changing during Journals and it wasn't as good as now. The songs were great, well written of course, poo bear is a genius but I don't think Justin's voice is for this kind of music. He has a couple RnB feel songs on Purpose but he delivered them better because his voice is wayyy better now.

They usually never do. Behind every hit there is at least 5 people working their magic. You are lucky if you get to hear a producer tag, that's it. The songwriters or the musicians who actually make the music you need to search to find.
