I was quite pleased as Norma Shearer is my favorite actress and a trailblazer in pre-code Hollywood. The Hays Code tamed her along with the rest of Hollywood but before the Code, good God Almighty she was hot, in the most classy of ways:) And she had a lovely voice.

Not enough Joan Crawford or Barbara Stanwyck for my liking and they skipped over Jean Harlow’s Red Headed Woman too quickly. I guess someone felt sorry for Norma Shearer.
