I love it! It reminds me of the knysna loerie, a South African bird we get in the Tsitsikama forest where I live. I think SA and Aus have a lot of convergent evolution due to similar climates, a lot of the animals look similar despite totally different origins. The acacia trees in Aus are also almost identical to ours

I was soooo excited when I saw the birb!!! I was worried when you started making little pieces because I do not enjoy sewing, but intergrating them into the main piece was super satisfying. I'm so in love with the result ❤I know a lot of cockatoo enthusiasts, so this is such a perfect gift idea! It's getting difficult to pick a favourite among your 12 days so far hahaha

You absolutely can! Your fans will end up slightly thinner than mine, but it won't make too much of a difference I don't think :)

The only bird who truly knows how to rock around a Christmas tree! Initially, I thought of magpies, because, well... magpies. But then I thought, "Australia gets it's internet through undersea cables. Did sharks dig up the cables or chew them? Why would they do that? Can't be sharks." 😅 Now, as for tomorrow's critter, I can't believe some people actually think they are bears. See, now that's a critter who would chew through a cable without any cares 😂

This pattern is a great no-sew pattern, I don't know how you came up with this! :) When I made it the wings ended up slightly off compared with the beak and the feet ended up on the back somehow...? Anyway I made a cute little baby cockatoo trying to fly but instead shaking its little birdie tail. :D The next one is DEFINITELY a koala!

I have two budgies and one is really quiet (doesn’t even make a chirp) he just looks at you and eats. He is a little cutie with a bit of attitude because he hogs the pellets when the other bird wants to eat! The other one is very vocal and screams A LOT when she wants a treat like this bird quinoa we have. I love those two, and the vocal one can be clumsy at times. XD
