Not quite 'Artlepool born n bred, Jez is from Easington Colliery, though he was educated in Pool. We were classmates at St Francis Grammar for 5 years. ( sadly that school is long gone though the building that housed the art room, library and 6th form common room still exists as the White House pub. I'm not only extremely jealous of his musical talents but also the fact that the bugger hardly looks any older than when we left school in 1973!

I'm ashamed to say (at 58 in Apr '24) i'd never heard of Jez Lowe until a friend invited me to see him at Croydon Folksong club tomorrow, so i thought i'd better check him out. On this evidence I can't wait to see him and look forward to a great night.
