Hello sir... I have one question in a consolidated balance sheet if one company is closed and the liquidation amount we are taking in the current year balance sheet of e.g. Tata steel. then for next year also we have to show that liquidation amount in tata steel balance sheet??? i will never understand why a balance sheet has to balance between assets and liabilities. what if I have 10 assets and 2 liabilities? what if I have 2 houses that generate me money but I have liabilities totalling me £1000 but the assets make me £2000? how?

Good explanation... It's very irritating when some Indian friends use the sound of (TA) at the end of words ending with T. I don't understand why they do that... I have worked with Indians and some of them were using the same sound all the time.
