Really enjoyed this. At first I thought it was going to be another standard metalcore track, but was surprised when it got to the djent section, and was surprised again when it hit the melodic guitar solo section. You could probably still label this as metalcore, but it's definitely more interesting than most examples of that genre these days. Proggy without being overblown and catchy without being brain-dead simple. Good stuff.

This was totally awesome! Progressive in more than one aspect: A new and fresh mix of styles, elements and unique ideas A "progressing" linear song as you said And of course quite a lot of "traditional" progressive elements like playfulness with rythms and unexpected shifts I'm amazed and a bit saddened by this video getting SO few views, likes and comments. The band/music and the analysis deserves so much more! Do the vast majority of the subscribers only subscribe for reactions to their favourite bands?.... Also: have a hard time understanding how only a few percent of the viewers want to like and comment...

I share your sentiment about the views on bands like this. I know Spotify is a better indicator of exposure than KZbin but still, seeing music like this being created without many people knowing about it is a bit sad.

@@CriticalReactions I was talking about the extremely sparse interest from this channel's subscribers....

@@progperljungman8218 Oh! This specific video. Unfortunately that happens with smaller bands. There are some people who watch the videos for music discovery but I find it's far more common that people will watch the bands/songs they know to 1) see my reaction or 2) get more info on their favorite songs (from the analysis). And that's fine. Everyone has different wants from the channel and I don't expect everyone to watch every video.
