Amy Tatum was my first private flute teacher as a child! I was very fortunate to have met her! Amy is a wonderful flutist and a wonderful person.

Being a flutist myself, i must say the staccato was amazing and tone was really good. Thanks CS for presenting this video, a great tool for composers who are not aware of nuances of the real instrument and its techniques.

I'm self taught and have both an Alto and Concert Flute. My Alto is pretty cheao, but I love playing it more. hearing her comments about the upper range and not playing note around the foot too much was reassuring for me. To here here struggle with trills on her little finger, made me feel better about mine, Especially as she in a different league to my abilities. I've been playing for 12 years, she was probably better than me after 2

This is a wonderful series. Is there a video for percussion instruments? In all my study of orchestration, I never really learned about writing for that section of the orchestra. Thanks!

Is it confortable for a piccolo player to play most of the time in the low register other than all high stuff?
@itznoxy71933 жыл бұрын
I know you asked this 3 years ago but yes low piccolo is easy and a beautiful, pearly sound (not shrill). People should use it more.
