I've had mine 20 years because of chipped front tooth and not having braces when I was a teen, the dentist made my teeth also slighter bigger because the front bottom especially were small, anyway, they have only slightly chipped on 2 the one with the chip and a bottom one 2 years ago, so they are long lasting. They don't really stain worse, but cannot be whitened as natural teeth, basically if you need them lightened they must redo them or the tint overlay, which I haven't had done myself. So yes they look fine but i wish i could bleach my teeth, no one can tell it's isn't my teeth, but they are stained, yellowed slightly after 20 years

@makisehernaez2996 yes, they are just like real teeth, strong,, look real too, no one can tell I don't actually have perfectly straight teeth, but it's the composite. My dentist back then did the front 8 for a couple hundred bc I was going to begin college soon and knew I couldn't afford braces and the composite in the 1. Can't find ppl like that these days, not dentists anyway. Will be several thousand to get them redone now.

I think it is essentially the exact same material used for white fillings, a type of specialized composite resin. But instead of fixing a smaller problem - like a cavity - the composite is just used to rebuild and shape a much larger area of the tooth after first preparing the surface. It is generally a very good first choice because it is the LEAST invasive of the restorative options. Both veneers and crowns neccesitate REMOVAL of existing tooth structure. I have had an upper central incisor rebuilt more than once using composite, most recently a couple of years back. A good third of the tooth was missing, cracked from either sports or a bike accident I think when much younger. If done by a competent dentist, composite can have a very good functional and cosmetic result and last for a reasonably good period of time. There are caveats though. The composite will eventually be affected by wear and tear, and if you subject it to very strong forces, you will most likely experience some problems. And composite does have a lifespan. But this really depends on what and how you eat, and if you look after your dental hygiene properly. If you are reasonably careful, you can avoid most problems, and get a good number of years out of them. So it is a very good option to consider. Hope this is of some help.
