@@DIV4348 I was missing my bicuspids (the teeth beside my 2 front teeth), so after I got braces to close the gap I had 2 pointy teeth beside my front teeth. It looked horrible. So I got bonding done. The dentist used bonding to make those teeth look more square. It looks sooooo much better now. And my natural tooth was never shaved down or anything, it just has bonding attached to it.
@1984AP2 жыл бұрын
Just had bonding done today in NY with a Periodontics Practitioner. The resin, sadly is like sandpaper and rough - compared to the natural enamel. Appearance wise, it looks nicer - but the feeling is odd. It feels like the resin went over farther on the middle of my teeth and at the bottom/edge more than I'd like and is not as smooth. Afraid this is irreversible, as the resin/polishing has taken away the smooth feel of the natural enamel. I told them it felt rough and they polished with electric drill-like device - which didn't make much difference. I had a resin filling done back in 2005 for a tiny cavity - the finish was very smooth, like a sealant/clearcoat. This resin used for bonding feels nothing like it. Concerned.

What you would recommend for shaping a canine tooth to become straight?
@DentalBoutiqueAU4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sapp, thank you for your comment :) An advised consult with your dentist is recommended to discuss all options available for you! Is it just the canine tooth that is crooked? Majority of people opt for Veneer treatment if it is a singular tooth that needs to be straightened. Otherwise there is Orthodontic treatment available such as braces or Invisalign!

@@DentalBoutiqueAU For a person with 4 front bottom teeth misaligned teeth at the bottom with previous braces for many years my teeth shifted back. My dentists said that then i would be better off with Invisalign or braces again because bonding only lasts a few months at best. And he said that viewers would not work for my misaligned teeth because they are too close together. I said yes but i dont have 6k for Invisalign and dont want braces. Interestingly every video i see about composite bonding says that these if taken extremely good care would last more then 4 years of minimum. To me thats good because with veeners you have to etch your actuall teeth not with bonding right?

@@spookynuts7148 yes composite bonding is the best bet here. They can last 10+ just depends on your care for them. The less possibility of chipping, the greater they'll last.
