First ply failure in a laminate can be calculated by using the Tsai hill failure index from Abaqus. But, if we want to calculate the ultimate ply failure load i.e last ply failure load, how to identify using abaqus?@@Professor3MEC

Hello sir, nice work. I have a few questions. I have seen people use max. degradation as 0.99 as a flag for element deletion in past literature. They generally used continuum shell for composite modeler. Can you send the cae or input file at [e-mail], so that i can play around with it.
