Hey Todd. Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. You are doing great, keep going. Composites analysis is always complex topic in the books, but with your videos it becomes much more clear! 🙏

hello sir. Thank you sir for these good and usefull teaching videos. i have a question about Thickness of the lamina how i can estimate it, i have a work need a 4 lamina of the CSM fibers and polymer matrix, im confused how to estimatet it sir. thank you 🙏
@ToddCoburn Жыл бұрын
There is generally manufacturer data with approx thickness for various fiber/matrix combos. However, cure pressure, stack thickness, and other things can alter that. It is best to make a sample and measure it to confirm estimates

@@ToddCoburn thank you for your generous answer sir. i've found a formula that estimate the thickness of each lamina, for exemple i used CSM Fiber off 450g/m² with 30% of mass and polymer matrix with 70% of mass, the thickness is about 0,9mm. is that kinda aa true thickness that i can use it for my studies ? about the datat if there is a sheet or a table can you share it with me sir. Thank you For your help Sir i appereciate that 🙏

When i try to determine lamina strains for my laminate some of my curvature are above 1 which results in some of the lamina strains being above 1. Is this possible?

Sounds like it might be a unit error, although i cannot tell without more detail.
