Hi. Loving the course so far. Just as an FYI, the Lemon Milk font causes crashes in Windows. For some reason, Ae doesn't automatically recognize it and we have to substitute the font manually. Cheers@

Thank you, Gareth for a great tutorial. I am now on lesson four. I am also a complete beginner. As a complete beginner I would have appreciated in one of the last four lessons a lesson that teaches us how to open a document or project or file to bring it into after effects. I was confused as to whether I should go to file, new project, open project, or new composition. It seems that each of these will achieve the goal of getting a composition inside of the viewing window, but at this point I’m just guessing and finding that I am probably getting the order wrong. Sorry if you have already explained this and I somehow missed it but I don’t think I did. Thanks again for providing the project files and for creating an easy to understand tutorial for beginners.

Hi i just downloaded the course and i love it , i don't know if it is me ,but the composition tutorial doesnt load the footage. My file size says 81KB. At the beginning in my timeline ,when i preview it plays the unionjack with the welcome to london.After that i just get color bars until it reaches the outtro which is displayed nomal.

Yeah, same here. I can open them in the PROJECT ASSETS folder, but they're not loading in the tutorial. Aha! Project panel: Assets > Video > 1 Hyde Park > Stills > and clicked on PATH_1. From there, it found all the files it hadn't before. I'm using AE2020, for what it's worth...

Hi! I downloaded the project folder and installed the font Lemon Milk but when I open the AE files they are looking for LemonMilk (one word) and tells me that I don't have the font installed so all the text reverts back to default. Looks like a cool and usefull editing program with a lot of options to choose from to create cool videos and more. But I need to know this since this program cost a little fee. Does this "After Effects program" contain an video editing option to create a smaller, zoomed video frame (duplicated of the main video or other video's/pictures) inside of the same main video? Certainly, a composition in After Effects involves combining various elements like audio, animation, video, or 3D models. For instance, if you consider an image, each segment of that image can be treated as an individual composition layer. These layers, each with its own timeline setup, collectively form a single composition in After Effects. But Is it necessary to design each separate composition layer in Adobe Illustrator ?????

Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial Gareth! :) but why is that every time I open any file in the folder the LEMONMILK font issue error message always appears though I have already installed the font on my computer. So it's always replaced by another font on my computer coz the font is not reading on my computer. I have to manually adjust the font when I open the file. It doesn't automatically read. :(

There have been some reported issues with the font, but I can help you here! The font currently in the AE download files for some reason is not picking up the ‘Lemon Milk’ font as intended when you install it straight out of the box. Some users after installing the font, it still does not register in the After Effects files. FIX: If the font does not register once installed, You will have to re-assign the ‘Lemon milk’ font in AE. Simply select the type, go to the character panel and and re-set the type to ‘Lemon Milk.’ To update. This should rectify the problem. Alternatively you can download another version of the font here: www.dafontfree.io/lemon-milk-font-family-free-download/ This has reportedly resolved the issue.

I can open all the other project files except for the one for this lesson. Every time I try opening it loads gigabytes of data into cache and crashes.

Hi Gareth, Loving the course so far! Thanks so much! Just having issues with the files recognising the LemonMilk font. I have downloaded and installed it in all available weights but I still need to manually click on each bit of text in the composition and select the font again. Do you have any suggestions? It looks as if the file name you had originally on the document differs slightly from the available download now. Not sure if that may have something to do with it? i.e. 'LemonMilk' on the file and 'LEMON MILK' on the downloaded version? Many Thanks James

I have the same issue. I mark all the Text layers in the time panel and then change all of them at once, but still it is annoying. But anyway, it is a great tutorial!

Hi Gareth, excellent course. Question on Ep4/48. At 5mins in, where you say to double click on the layer 'Video Edit [Stills]' this works ok. The video edit tab comes up but my timeline does not not change from seconds to frames as yours seems to do in the video, can you help? thanks.

AMAZING TUTORIAL! When I create the new composition it appears in the middle of the list, (under introduction sequence) not at the end. and I can't find a way to move it to the bottom. Is this a problem? How do I fix it?

Even though i have lemon milk installed, it says it doesn't when opening your projects. and ae only accesses a think lemon milk, even with only the normal ones installed. any tips? when I've used windows before, it worked fine, now i am on a mac.

Hey, I bought the project folder, after downloading the zip file, unfortunately folder 5, folder 30, folder 33, folder 34, folder 35, and folder 36 doesn't exist. That would be great if you could share these folders with me.

Hi, yep, don’t worry, those folders are not included for good reason. When you come to those videos, they call on resources and documents that are from other videos and other folders so the course files does not need folders for them.

While creating a new composition, I found my new composition would never go at the bottom of the compositions list in the project panel, as it does in your example. No matter how many times I tried my new composition always seems to place at the top of the list. Does it matter where in the list of compositions in the project panel my new comp goes?

I can assure you it's all in there. A lot of people have acquired the project folder with no issues. However some have had issues on PC, as when unzipping it can create blank folders. Don't know why.
