Looks cool but I need to ask. Will the black plastic with holes gives same effect as with landscape fabric material

I would think geofabric may breath better, which would be good if you get lots of rain but bad if it allows the heap to dry out.

no need for the plastic, just use chicken wire to hold in the material......just a thought...

I thought we weren't supposed to use dog, cat & human feces in compost pile because we all eat meats and there could be parasites in it? Unlike horses and cattle which only eat vegetables? That's what I heard anyways, I'm new.

In western culture we have become fecophobic (afraid of shit). Yet human poo has been used for fertilizer for thousands of years. You just need to be a bit careful. For me that means a compost heap gets left for a year or so before getting used. Check out humanurehandbook.com Babies are not fecophobic and will eat poo for a very good reason: it is probiotic. Exposure to poo has been a natural part of human existence, right up until we started to consider ourselves somehow above nature.

I already have a biogas digester that supplies enough cooking gas such that I no longer use my electric stove. It also outputs about ten litres of liquid fertiliser per day.
