Compost Tea from grass clippings

I have a 200liter drum filled with lots of sunflower plants from the river fermented with my urine. I have never seen such dark green leaves and quick growth. It smells though, but it’s free nitrogen.

Very interesting Video. I have started using grass clippings as a compost tea. I note that you are careful to only take the tea. Where do use the remaining clippings??

-- I noticed the chickens were after the flies and Nats that were all over the compost tea. As I watched closely, I saw that the chickens would also eat the strands of decomposing grass and weeds. So, I put it in the compost pile next to the chicken coop and let them have at it.

Yup. DIY cow manure. The nastier the better. 👍

I thought this had to be diluted cause its high in nitrogen and can burn the plants.

-- So far, my plants are growing and doing well. But keep in mind that I also give the garden beds a good soaking with the water hose.

You dont mix with water dont you think it is strong tea.

-- I had one batch that was very strong. It did burn some plants. So, I learned my lesson and now I always dilute with water. It's better to under feed than to over feed.
