The quality of the incoming signal is so important that it can affect how well the sound is reproduced by the same speaker. Good sound reproduction doesn't have to cost a fortune these days as the industry has led us to believe. By the way this was among the geekiest I've heard from anyone, good job putting it all together like that, good job, really agree

There are many aspects of sound reproduction that can be appreciated, which is why you have different speakers with different designs and sound signature.

I have to admit that adding a REL subwoofer increased my level of pleasure. I play music at lower levels and still enjoy good bass.

Yes, I totally agree. If your main speakers don't extend all the way down, subwoofer is definitely a worthwhile investment. There is a lot of information in lower registers that contribute to the overall recording atmosphere. Even on acoustic stuff such us Eric Clapton from the MTV Unplugged album, there is a lot of low information, i.e. foot tapping on the stage floor, etc.

Hi Shem, what a great video, I can see you've put a lot of effort and research preparing this content, so thank you for that. I've been a long time subscriber and fan of your vintage restoration projects and articles. There's quite a bit of content to get through in this video, perhaps you would reach a wider audience if the video had been split into shorter clips, therefore creating a series that people would come back to watch at every new 'episode' what do you think? Please keep up with the great content. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

Hey! Thank you for your kind words. Yes, indeed, it took ages to get everything prepared. Good idea about splitting it into smaller chunks. I may give it a go at some point. People tend to prefer smaller videos that are easier to digest as opposed to 1h long lectures ;). All the best!
